And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtis Lowe!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fungus throws an off balance right hand
and Lowe counters with a slapping leg kick.
Lowe misses with a body kick.
Foot Fungus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lowe takes one on the button.
Lowe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fungus.
Fungus jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Fungus jabs Lowe right on the nose. Lowe blinks but takes it well.

Fungus lands a left and a right that send Lowe crashing to the mat, dazed. Fungus thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lowe is rocked!

It looks like Curtis Lowe has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fungus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lowe connects with a high kick.
Fungus throws a shot from downtown. Lowe moves away and avoids it.
Fungus takes a swing at Lowe's ribcage but misses.
A slow jab from Lowe misses its intended target.
Fungus looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lowe misses with a body shot.
Fungus blocks a jab.
It looked like Fungus wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Lowe walks straight into a right hand from Fungus - that's dropped him! Fungus jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Lowe from any more punishment! Lowe complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Foot Fungus!

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexey Andreev (ranked 286 p4p, 41 weight class) and Aoki Aoki (ranked 475 p4p, 71 weight class). Aoki has chosen Baka Survivor as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Aoki Aoki was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andreev throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aoki was covering up waiting for the punch and Andreev finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Andreev with a nice head shot there.

Aoki working for a triangle but Andreev defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aoki has his foot on Andreev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Andreev works his way back into a safe position though.

Andreev avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Andreev postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Aoki working for submissions but it's allowed Andreev to get to half guard.
Aoki trying to hold on to Andreev's head to control him but Andreev postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aoki looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Andreev connects with a nice short shot to Aoki's temple.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Andreev is nestled in close to Aoki, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Andreev scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Aoki is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Andreev pulls his head out easily.
Aoki on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Andreev seems to be looking for submissions.
Aoki taking some punishment here, with Andreev in his half guard.
Andreev wants to take a breather but Aoki is having none of it.
Aoki trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Andreev manages to pass to mount!
Andreev postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Aoki looks a forlorn figure.
Andreev has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Aoki's face.

Aoki is rocked!

It looks like Aoki Aoki has been cut.
Aoki tries to hold on but Andreev pushes him away.
Andreev lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Aoki is still in real trouble! Can Andreev finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Andreev postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Aoki out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Andreev goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Alexey Andreev!

A victorious Alexey Andreev thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Aoki Aoki spoke after the fight, saying 'Hey wtf?? I got paid well ! Ask no more questions...me no speakee English....'.
