A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Molby.

I think Bailey might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to NWA-Fuck Tha Police. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grill throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Resende sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Resende tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grill was well out of range. Poor timing from Resende.
A little feinted left hand from Grill on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Resende looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Grill is looking to counter punch.
Resende wants to clinch but Grill slips to the side
and Grill cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Grill waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Resende.
Resende doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Resende takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Resende doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wagner Resende seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Resende will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
It looked like Grill wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Grill throws a hook but Resende blocks it.
Grill lands an overhand right.
We've been told by Grill's head coaches at LOD London BALLS OF STEEL that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Grill moves out of range of the body kick.
Grill is looking to counter punch.

Resende takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Resende takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Resende throws a head kick that misses.
Resende looks to clinch
and Grill counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Resende with a lazy takedown attempt
and Grill counters with a straight right hand.

Resende is rocked!
Bob Grill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wagner Resende.
Resende tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Grill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Grill lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Resende is still on wobbly legs! Can Grill finish him?
Resende misses with the body kick
and Grill counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Grill thuds his right hand into Resende's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Resende closes the distance but Grill moves to the side
and Grill counters with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grill throws an overhand right that lands on Resende's shoulder, as Resende tries to avoid the shot.
Resende seems to have recovered his senses.

Grill throws a shot to the body.
Resende gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Grill cracks Resende with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Grill has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Resende to stand back up!
Resende shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grill sprawls well. Grill wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Resende gets slowly back to his feet.
Resende misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Resende takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Resende moves in looking to clinch but Grill pushes him off.

Grill cracks Resende with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Grill has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Resende to stand back up!
Grill circles away from the clinch attempt
and Grill counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Resende out cold! What a finish! Grill is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Hirigushi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Souza walks into a left hand.
Souza has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Souza misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hirigushi throws out a counter right but Souza avoids it with no problem.

and Hirigushi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Souza throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Souza darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hirigushi looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hirigushi can do anything to dispel that myth.
