0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Theodore! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Theodore throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tong on the side of the head. Tong scores with the left hand. Theodore knows he should have avoided that one. Tong throws a lazy head kick and Theodore counters with a nice body shot. Theodore blocks a head kick by Tong.
Theodore is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Theodore shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tong sprawls well. Tong wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Theodore gets slowly back to his feet. Roger Theodore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Theodore tries for a takedown but Tong circles away easily and Tong counters with a flying knee. Nice. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tong closes this distance looking for a takedown but Theodore circles away. Theodore tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Theodore somewhat. Tong seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Da Hee Tong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Theodore.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tong leaves Theodore with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Theodore looks to throw the jab but Tong is out of range. Theodore throws a leg kick and Tong counters by clinching up. Tong breaks from the clinch.

A head kick from Tong lands but Theodore takes it in his stride. Theodore tries for a takedown but Tong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A left and a right from Theodore both land. Nice combination. Theodore looks for a takedown but Tong sprawls well. Theodore misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Theodore shoots in for a takedown. Tong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Theodore pinned against the cage. Theodore gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Theodore. Tong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Theodore. Tong appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tong dodges the punch combination from Theodore.
Tong throwing a counter right hand but Theodore manages to avoid it. Tong throws a hook but Theodore avoids it easily. Tong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Theodore's guard. Tong is in close to Theodore's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tong connects with a couple of short punches. Tong working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Theodore is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tong is controlling him. Tong tries to free his leg and advance position but Theodore is retaining full guard. Tong is working Theodore over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tong throwing strikes but missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Da Hee Tong dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Theodore dives in and grabs Tong's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tong pushes down on Theodore's head and hops out. Tong looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Theodore tries for a takedown but Tong circles away easily and Tong counters by moving into the clinch. Theodore tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tong smiles and moves away.
Da Hee Tong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Theodore. Theodore is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tong sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Theodore throws a series of punches but Tong avoids them all with ease. Theodore wants to clinch but Tong slips to the side and Tong counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Tong looking to finish!
Theodore is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tong arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Theodore's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ahikaroa tries to clinch but Jyre is having none of it. Jyre gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jyre jumps guard and drags Ahikaroa to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Jyre wants to stand and escape but Ahikaroa is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ahikaroa controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ahikaroa is looking to work some ground and pound but Jyre has wrist control. Ahikaroa won't allow Jyre to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ahikaroa trying to control but Jyre is working from the bottom. Jyre looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jyre has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ahikaroa has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Jyre drags the fight down to the ground.

Ahikaroa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ahikaroa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jyre looking for a sweep. Not yet Jyre, not yet. Jyre pulls Ahikaroa in to control the position. Jyre has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Ahikaroa trying to control the position from guard on top but Jyre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ahikaroa won't allow Jyre to sweep him here. Jyre has his hands on Ahikaroa's head, controlling the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jyre keeping full guard, as Ahikaroa tries to pass.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jyre fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As Jyre backs off Ahikaroa throws a huge counter combo but Jyre manages to avoid it all. Jyre tries to land a front kick but Ahikaroa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ahikaroa defending well as Jyre loads up on a big left hand. No luck with that takedown attempt from Ahikaroa.

A short right from Jyre on the inside. Jyre gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Ahikaroa will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Jyre no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Jyre wriggles free and stands up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Besy Jyre is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Besy Jyre has scored more points in the clinch so far. Ahikaroa lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Bocheck is looking for a sweep. Silva working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva gets to mount! Bocheck was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Bocheck is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Silva locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Bocheck is forced to tap!

Franco does a little dance to reset his feet. Dann clinches. Franco is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Franco throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Dann in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Dann thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dann is chipping away with strikes.

Dann throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Franco's waist but Franco gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dann off to one side. Franco cracks Dann with a good jab. Franco has managed to clinch.
Franco is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Franco throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Franco trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McDonald closes the distance and clinches up with Mikhailov, looking for a takedown. McDonald pushes Mikhailov against the cage but Mikhailov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Despite the aggression on Mikhailov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. McDonald tries to close the distance and clinch but Mikhailov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mikhailov misses with a low kick. A head kick misses from Mikhailov. We've been informed that Mikhailov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ruger wants to control but Sergeant is keeping him busy. Ruger cracks Sergeant with a big elbow. Sergeant can't do much from the bottom here. Sloppy strikes there by Ruger. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ruger throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Sergeant is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Sergeant displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ruger.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Markham shoots in for a takedown but Callaghan shows good takedown defense. Markham gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Callaghan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Markham motions for Callaghan to come forward. Markham throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Callaghan throws the kick towards the body but Markham avoids it. A big right from Callaghan misses. Markham appears to be looking for a big counter. Markham misses with a jab, cross combination.

Markham drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Callaghan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Markham has Callaghan in his guard. Markham is trying to keep Callaghan in close.

Callaghan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Markham striking off his back but it's not causing Callaghan any problems. Callaghan wants to stand but Markham has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Markham not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Markham dives in and grabs Callaghan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Callaghan pushes down on Markham's head and hops out. Callaghan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Markham doesn't succeed with the takedown and Markham takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Markham is rocked! Callaghan drops Markham with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Markham! Callaghan dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Sanna looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. No joy there for Rumper, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rumper cracks the inside of Sanna's front leg. Good standup being displayed there by Rumper as he connects with a hook. Rumper lands a jab to the head.
A jab from Rumper does it's job there. Sanna delivers a nice body kick. Rumper connects with the punch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sanna moves out of range of the strikes. Rumper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sanna fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rumper on the side of the head. Rumper takes one to the side of the head.
Sanna lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sanna.
The fighters circling - Rumper throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A head kick from Sanna lands but Rumper takes it in his stride. Rumper finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Sanna delivers a nice body kick. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sanna throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Sanna keeps Rumper at a distance using the push kick. Sanna lands a head kick. Rumper smiles back at him and beckons him forward. That kick from Sanna tenderised Rumper's leg. Rumper is trying to keep his angry face on. Rumper throws a jab when Sanna was well out of range. Rumper misses with a straight right. Rumper throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rumper takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Sanna throws a quick inside leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sloppy strikes from Rumper. Those never looked like landing. Rumper on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rumper throws a big shot that misses. Rumper looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanna is just out of range. Sanna is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Rumper tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rumper swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A head kick from Sanna lands but Rumper takes it in his stride. Sloppy strikes from Rumper. Those never looked like landing. Sanna fakes the leg kick and cracks Rumper in the body. Sanna rushes Rumper with punches - Rumper moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Rumper goes down! Sanna follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Silva is fighting it off but Ithamar persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage. A punch lands to the side of Ithamar 's head but he takes it in his stride. Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ithamar shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ithamar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ezekiel Ithamar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ithamar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Silva moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Ithamar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side. Ithamar tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silva defends well and Ithamar ends up having to push Silva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ezekiel Ithamar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ithamar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
