Wright has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kravac shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wright pinned against the cage. Wright gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kravac goes for a double leg but Wright avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wright continues to drive forward.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Montezuma.
Vee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Montezuma stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Vee throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Montezuma counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Montezuma pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Vee walks into a left hand.
Montezuma attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Montezuma lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Vee at a distance.
Brandon Vee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vee bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Montezuma's head backwards.

We've been informed that Vee has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Montezuma moves forwards but Vee connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Vee tries to close the distance and clinch but Montezuma swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Montezuma has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Dr Hatsumi's Clinic in the buildup to the fight.
Montezuma throws a hook to the side of Vee's head but Vee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Montezuma throws a solid leg kick but Vee takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Montezuma.
Vee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Montezuma moves away.

Vee throws a lazy right hand but Montezuma sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Montezuma takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Vee sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Vee loads up on a big right hand but Montezuma slips the punch.

Vee throws a hook but Montezuma avoids it easily.

Montezuma is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Montezuma keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Montezuma staying out of range there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quetzal Montezuma dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Brandon Vee's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Montezuma throws a chopping leg kick but Vee manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vee throws a jab but it's blocked by Montezuma.
Vee walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Montezuma drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Vee swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Montezuma's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Vee!

Post fight, an emotional Brandon Vee said 'You are looking at one of the most dangerous weapons on earth, a black man who don't give a shit. And no one can stop me. Can you dig it? CAN YOU DIG IT!?'.
