Steinberg cracks Hidaka with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hidaka looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Steinberg finish him?

Oh Hidaka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hidaka takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Hidaka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Steinberg.
Hidaka swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
No joy there for Hidaka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jeez, Hiroaki Hidaka's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Steinberg stuns Hidaka with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hidaka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Steinberg! But no joy.
Hidaka is breathing heavily.
Hidaka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steinberg manages to avoid it.
Steinberg is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hidaka had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Hidaka takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hiroaki Hidaka's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Smithson throws a hook but Jackson blocks it.
Jackson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Smithson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jacksons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

McNeal connects with a right hand. Jennings shakes it off.

Jennings wants to counter the offense by McNeal and move into the clinch position.
Jennings throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
McNeal takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
McNeal throws a shot from downtown. Jennings moves away and avoids it.
Jennings appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Jennings moves in looking to clinch but McNeal pushes him off.
It looked like McNeal wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jennings gets cracked there but stands up to it.

McNeal lands a brutal uppercut that launches Jennings off his feet! Jennings tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Jenner's coach down at Kevin Spacey's House of Squats & Grabs was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jenner's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Jenner fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jenner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kortig tries to free his leg and advance position but Jenner is retaining full guard.
Kortig is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kortig is sitting in close to Jenner's body. Jenner has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kortig is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kortig is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jenner.

Diaz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Leo Cooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Diaz.

Cooper avoids the body shot from Diaz.
Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooper moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown. Cooper tries to sprawl out of it but Diaz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cooper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cooper tries to counter by clinching up but Diaz breaks away and moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Cooper's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Diaz falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leo Cooper!
Leo Cooper looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I beat everyone there is to beat. Im the uncrowned champion.'.
