1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, DeMario Valdez! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Damien Edna and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valdez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. DeMario Valdez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Valdez does it's job there. Valdez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Valdez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vang throws out the jab. Valdez looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Valdez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vang sprawling to the canvas! Vang rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Valdez finish him?!
Vang is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Valdez moves in close and cracks Vang with a massive right hand! Vang, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Valdez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lao takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Moore lands with a cross. Nice shot by Moore.
It looks like Karnak Lao has been cut. Lao closes the distance looking to clinch and Moore counters with a right hand to the body. Moore connects with a crisp jab. Nice jab there from Moore. Lao shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Moore defends it nicely. Moore throws out a powerful jab. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lao is defended easily by Moore. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Moore fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lao has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Lao is rocked! Moore fakes the body blow, causing Lao to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Lao goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Destroyer napping and manages to drive through into side control! Wilson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Destroyer looks calm but he's in trouble here. Wilson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Destroyer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Wilson lets go of the hold and Destroyer can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Merrill Wilson! After winning the bout, Merrill Wilson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Noodles Destroyer was interviewed post fight and said 'Fk u, u got lucky'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siracha avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Siracha has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Forge in the buildup to the fight. Siracha throws a quick inside leg kick. Pedro Siracha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Siracha keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Siracha turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Siracha shoots in but no luck this time. Nice body punch from Siracha. Mercer drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Mercer tries to clinch up. Mercer shoots in for a takedown but Siracha shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mercer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Siracha avoids it really well and circles away. Pedro Siracha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Mercer. Siracha fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mercer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Siracha counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Nice body punch from Siracha. Siracha scores with a body shot.
Mercer looks winded! Oooooh!!! Siracha has knocked Mercer down with a huge combo! Siracha steps away and waves a wobbly Mercer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Bobby Mercer has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Siracha cracks Mercer with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mercer tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Siracha pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mercer is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Lampshade tries to close the distance and clinch but RestInPiece swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lampshade tries to clinch but RestInPiece moves out of range. Lampshade tries to clinch up but RestInPiece circles away and keeps his distance. RestInPiece drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lampshade sprawls and moves away. RestInPiece got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lampshade has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! A quick step to the side and RestInPiece tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Taga Lampshade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lampshade drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. RestInPiece explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Lampshade tries to clinch but RestInPiece is having none of it. RestInPiece throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lampshade. Lampshade wants to clinch up but RestInPiece keeps it at a distance. RestInPiece swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. RestInPiece ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. RestInPiece no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Lampshade trying to stand up but can't free himself from RestInPiece's guard. Machiavelli RestInPiece overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. RestInPiece preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lampshade thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. RestInPiece bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lampshade's guard.

RestInPiece controlling the action here. RestInPiece seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lampshade for as long as he can get away with.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. RestInPiece decides to return to a standing position. RestInPiece lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by RestInPiece. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lampshade fails with an attempt to clinch.
RestInPiece looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A decent looking body kick lands there for RestInPiece. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lampshade looks to clinch and RestInPiece counters with a crisp one two that drops Lampshade! RestInPiece thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lampshade to his feet! Lampshade is in big trouble! RestInPiece takes the fight into the clinch. RestInPiece taking a breather. Lampshade throws an elbow but it misses.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lampshade just misses with a elbow thrown towards RestInPiece's brow. Lampshade manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! RestInPiece is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. RestInPiece's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. RestInPiece postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lampshade is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of RestInPiece, into his guard.
RestInPiece working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lampshade doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lampshade manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. RestInPiece controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lampshade trying to control but RestInPiece is working from the bottom. Lampshade wants to stand but RestInPiece is controlling his posture from full guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. RestInPiece looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nice sprawl there from Lampshade as RestInPiece shoots in. Lampshade has managed to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. RestInPiece gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Lampshade is striking off his back. RestInPiece thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. RestInPiece looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. RestInPiece is thwarting Lampshade's attempts to control the position. Lampshade misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lampshade tries to roll over but RestInPiece keeps him under control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Machiavelli RestInPiece. Well RestInPiece has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suoro lands a jab. Suoro smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Loco connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Suoro's hands. Nice cross by Suoro. Suoro seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. A jab from Suoro does it's job there. El Mas Loco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Loco moves forwards but Suoro connects with a nice, crisp jab. A left lands for Suoro.
Loco is rocked! Suoro slips under a jab from Loco. Loco is still on wobbly legs! Can Suoro finish him? Loco throws a body shot but no joy. Loco seems to have recovered his senses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Loco takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Suoro moves out of range of the strikes. Suoro looks to land a combination but Loco avoids it well. Suoro swinging wildly here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Al Mombasa throws a looping overhand right but Steel ducks down to avoid it. An attempted straight right counter from Steel misses the target. Al Mombasa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Al Mombasa slips a straight right by Steel. Steel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Steel lands the left hand.
It looks like Mustafa Al Mombasa has been cut. Al Mombasa jabbing away but nothing is landing. Nice sprawl there from Al Mombasa as Steel shoots in. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Al Mombasa! But no joy. Al Mombasa misses with a looping left. Steel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. That was a close round but I would say that Peter Steel will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carioca throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dale's waist but Dale gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carioca off to one side. Dale throws a body shot but no joy. Carioca half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Nice takedown defense from Dale. No joy for Carioca on that attempt. Dale stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dale wants it to stay on the feet. Carioca takes a shot to the body in his stride.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dale moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Carioca closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dale circles away. Aaron Dale seems to be getting the better of the standup. A jab from Dale finds it's way through Carioca's defenses.

Carioca tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dale defends well and Carioca ends up having to push Dale into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
