Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brent King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Ham!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King pushes Ham up against the cage in a clinch.
Ham is working for takedown but King is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ham just leaning against King, taking a breather.
King is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ham to keep the fight standing.
King jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ham walks away with a smile on his face. King gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ham shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with King but King pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A little feinted left hand from King on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Ham decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ham lands strikes from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ham controlling the action here.
Ham is just content to waste time from the top position. King takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ham wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
King could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ham won't allow King to sweep him here.
King being controlled here, momentarily.
Ham trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
King is looking to sweep but instead, Ham has passed into half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Ham looking for a submission but King manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now King is on top in guard.


King drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ham dives on top into guard.

King controls Ham momentarily but Ham frees himself.
Ham postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
King might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ham landing with the ground and pound.
Ham wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
King controls Ham momentarily but Ham frees himself.
Ham is looking to stand up but King won't let him.
King looking to control.
King can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ham controls the pace.

Ham drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and King dives on top into guard.

Ham seems keen to control King's posture.
King slips nicely into half guard.
King content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King is trying to control the action in half guard but Ham is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

King trying to work for an americana but Ham has managed to regain full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Big Ham will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ham scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. King doesn't seem bothered though.

Ham shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ham showed some decent athleticism there.
Ham landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
King gets back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King has his hands on Ham's head, controlling the position.
Ham wanted to stand there but King had control of the position.

Ham not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
King wants to hit a switch here but Ham passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for King there!
King on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if King tries to get out of the position.

King tries to reverse the position but Ham maintains control.
Ham can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as King is looking to escape.
King sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
King is pressing down on Ham's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Ham works over King with some ground and pound from guard.
King keeping moving, preventing Ham from controlling successfully.

Ham won't allow King to sweep him here.
Ham trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
Ham slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
King looking for a sweep. Not yet King, not yet.
Ham has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
King is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
King misses the shot to the body.
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for Ham on that attempt.
King appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ham tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ham or perhaps it was just good defense by King, which made it look bad.

Ham closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. King quickly recovers to half guard.
King gets back to full guard.
King is trying to control the position but Ham postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
King is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big Ham showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Ham fails with a takedown attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ham enables King to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ham manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ham takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ham wants to lay and pray for a moment but King keeps working.
King moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
King bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ham's guard.

King wants to pass the guard but Ham is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ham is trying to control the position but King postures up.
Big Ham has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ham wants to control the position but King says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Ham manages to get to full guard.

King jumps guard and drags Ham to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
King looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ham is one step ahead there.

King is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ham pulls his head out easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brent King.
I think Ham has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Newman bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lewis's head.

Newman is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lewis misses with a looping left.
Lewis wants to clinch.

Lewis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Newman sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lewis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Frank Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Newman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oh Newman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lewis dips a shoulder and cracks Newman with a mighty uppercut! Newman falls back against the cage and Lewis unloads with a barrage of strikes! Newman is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Lewis screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Lewis!
A relieved looking Frank Lewis thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
