Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between River Chambers (ranked 21989 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Maddox (ranked 22370 p4p, 0 weight class). River Chambers has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Maddox clinches up with Chambers and pushes him back against the cage. Chambers drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Maddox gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chambers has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Maddox is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Maddox tries for a takedown but Chambers manages to get underhooks.

Chambers is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Maddox pulls him back up using the underhooks. Maddox drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Chambers manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maddox takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Let's hope that Maddox has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Maddox. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maddox trying to pass the guard but Chambers defending well. Chambers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Maddox trying to control the pace. Chambers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Maddox is working away from the top position though.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Maddox is pressing down on Chambers's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chambers is holding on for now. Maddox sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Chambers is trying to get back to full guard. Maddox content to control rather than advance. Yet more stalling tactics from Maddox.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. The adventures of Maddox the control monster continue. Boring. Maddox trying to advance position but Chambers counters by regaining guard.

In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Hoster Tully! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 2 losses; Mortis Cadaver! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Cadaver clinches with his opponent.
Tully changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cadaver fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tully gets tackled into the cage by Cadaver. Cadaver maintains the clinch. Cadaver pulls guard. Tully looking to sit in guard and control but Cadaver gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Tully (0) vs (2) Cadaver Tully on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tully tries to get out of the position. Tully looking to control.

Tully wants to control but Cadaver is keeping busy and won't allow it. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Cadaver working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cadaver looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Tully is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tully tries to bench press Cadaver off him but Cadaver keeps the position. Tully tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Cadaver presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Score +2 for reaching mount: Tully (0) vs (7) Cadaver Cadaver tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Tully is trying to escape the mount.
Tully knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cadaver on the ground. Tully is working hard here to advance position. Tully is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tully tries to improve his position but Cadaver has taken his back! Cadaver has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Tully tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Cadaver pushes Tully away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
