The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hellavictorious throws a hook but Sapponen blocks it. Sapponen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Hellavictorious is looking to reverse the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hellavictorious wants to get back to his feet but Sapponen drags him back down. Sapponen stands up and beckons Hellavictorious to his feet. No luck for Hellavictorious with that takedown attempt. Hellavictorious looks to land a combination but Sapponen avoids it well. Sapponen pushes Hellavictorious up against the cage in a clinch. Sapponen jumps guard and drags Hellavictorious to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hellavictorious trying to control but Sapponen is working from the bottom. Sapponen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hellavictorious landing some decent shots from guard. Hellavictorious thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sapponen to regain full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hellavictorious passes into half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. The fighters are battling for position here. Lucious Hellavictorious seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sapponen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hellavictorious wants to pass the guard but Sapponen is keeping the position. Hellavictorious takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sapponen is on top in guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDonald keeps the fight on the outside. Dundee cracks McDonald with a good jab. McDonald shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dundee pinned against the cage. Dundee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Good shot there by Dundee. Dundee gets caught flat footed, as McDonald shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. McDonald wants to control from the top but Dundee keeps moving. McDonald throws and elbow that misses. Dundee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McDonald's guard. Nice move by Dundee! Dundee stopping the sweep attempt from McDonald. McDonald throws a combination that misses and Dundee counters with a left to the body. McDonald takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Dundee is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McDonald rather than just go for the knockout. McDonald takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jab, jab by Dundee - just one landing. McDonald tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dundee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McDonald somewhat. McDonald takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Dundee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McDonald stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. McDonald gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Dundee lands a hook that stumbles McDonald back into the cage. Dundee follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping McDonald to the canvas! Dundee pounces and lands several unanswered shots - McDonald has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Bouleau gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Simon. Bouleau shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Simon defends it nicely. Simon fails in his attempt to clinch. Simon moves into range and clinches up with Bouleau. Bouleau drops down looking for an ankle pick but Simon pulls his leg out and moves away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ae lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kain will feel that in the morning. Kain tries to clinch but Ae moves out of range. Ae fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kain manages to avoid it. Ae with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kain blocks a head kick by Ae.
Kain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kain shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ae sprawls well. Ae wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kain gets slowly back to his feet. Horrible takedown by Kain or perhaps it was just good defense by Ae which made him look bad. Ae looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Ae gets a clinch. Ae looking to slow down the pace here. Kain lands a nice elbow. Ae tries to break free but Kain pushes him back against the cage. Ae breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Ae's face as he tries to break the clinch. Ae on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ae looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Ae breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Horrible takedown by Kain or perhaps it was just good defense by Ae which made him look bad. Mr Ae has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Kain. He's simply no match for Kain on the ground. Kain throwing strikes from guard but Ae blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kain scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Ae keeping moving, preventing Kain from controlling successfully. Kain loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kain looking to pass the guard. Ae wants to hit a switch here but Kain passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ae there! Kain moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Ae has worked his arm free - good work by Ae!

Ae defending against the ground and pound. Kain is looking to take a break and control but Ae is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ae is trying to get back to half guard.

Mr Ae is winning the standup battle so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ae looks to land a body kick but Kain moved away. Ae lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Janssen throws a leg kick which misses Goss's front leg but catches the back leg as Goss tries to avoid it. Janssen throws a sloppy head kick and Goss moves out of range easily. Goss takes a head kick and keeps coming.

McClane thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! A shot to de liver by McCarthy. Beautiful body shot. A shot to the body from McClane misses and McCarthy counters with a lovely shot to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! McClane throws a body punch but McCarthy moves out of range.
