The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bartolo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Souvongkhamchanh tries to escape but Bartolo is in control. Souvongkhamchanh is looking for a sweep. Souvongkhamchanh is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Bartolo looks up at the clock and then as Souvongkhamchanh takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bartolo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jones sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! jow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. jow tries to get back to half guard but can't. jow wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Jones controlling his opponent. Jones with shots to the head and body - jow looks very uncomfortable down there. Jones avoids the attempt from jow to control. Jones wants to control the pace but jow is squirming around nicely. It will also be interesting to see what tactics jow uses from the top position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzales fails in his attempt to clinch. Gonzales fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Shamrock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Shamrock is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gonzales can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Shamrock has hold of Gonzales's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gonzales manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gonzales knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shamrock on the ground. Gonzales is trying to escape the mount.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steiner lunges at Matrione with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Matrione's hand. Steiner wants to clinch up but Matrione keeps it at a distance. Steiner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matrione swats him away and circles back towards the center. Matrione will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Matrione throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steiner's waist but Steiner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Matrione off to one side. Matrione tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Steiner counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Steiner. Steiner pushes Matrione back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Steiner will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Matrione up against the cage. Steiner lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Matrione backwards.
Matrione is rocked! A short left from Steiner. Oh Matrione is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Steiner creates a bit of distance and cracks Matrione with a massive left hook! Matrione crumples out of camera shot, completely unconscious! He's been Nelmarked! Steiner stares at him for a moment then struts over to his corner, victorious.
