Shamrock is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gonzales can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Shamrock has hold of Gonzales's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gonzales manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gonzales knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shamrock on the ground.

Matrione will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Matrione throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steiner's waist but Steiner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Matrione off to one side.

and Steiner counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Steiner.
Steiner pushes Matrione back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Steiner will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Matrione up against the cage.
Steiner lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Matrione backwards.

Matrione is rocked!

Oh Matrione is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Steiner creates a bit of distance and cracks Matrione with a massive left hook! Matrione crumples out of camera shot, completely unconscious! He's been Nelmarked! Steiner stares at him for a moment then struts over to his corner, victorious.
