Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Pablo Pablos (ranked 3189 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aldo Crespo (ranked 2479 p4p, 126 weight class). Crespo has chosen Toxic Waltz as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Crespo darts in looking for a takedown but Pablos gets double underhooks and turns Crespo into the cage. Crespo clinches with his opponent.
Crespo wants to take the fight to the mat but Pablos manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Crespo pulls Pablos into guard.
Crespo keeping full guard, as Pablos tries to pass. Pablos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Score +3 for passing guard: Pablos (3) vs (0) Crespo Pablos goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Crespo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pablos's guard! Nice work there by Crespo! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Pablos (3) vs (2) Crespo We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pablos is adopting a defensive guard. Crespo trying to control the position from guard on top but Pablos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Crespo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crespo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Pablos has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Crespo is looking to defend but Pablos has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Crespo! Pablos pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Crespo taps out and this one is all over!

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Osterberg tries to clinch but Pozar moves out of range. Osterberg tries to keep at a distance but Pozar has taken the fight into the clinch. Pozar prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pozar has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Osterberg regains guard immediately. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Osterberg (0) vs (2) Pozar Pozar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Osterberg wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Osterberg is working hard here to advance position. Osterberg is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pozar sitting in guard here, content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pozar wants to control from the top but Osterberg keeps moving.

Pozar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Osterberg swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pozar trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Osterberg manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Osterberg (2) vs (2) Pozar Pozar is looking to cinch up a triangle. Osterberg throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pozar's body to avoid the submission. Pozar has instead reached around Osterberg's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pozar arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Pozar Pozar opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see. |
