Sanchez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Thomas on his heels. He'll look to pass Thomas's guard now, I'm sure.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Annunziata digs a good hook to Tiv's body.
Tiv tries for a takedown but Annunziata sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tiv fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Annunziata counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

We've been informed that Tiv has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Tiv tries for a takedown but Annunziata circles away easily
letting Annunziata counter with a right hand.

Tiv bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Annunziata lands a nice shot that snaps Tiv's head back.

Annunziata has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Fist of Fury Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Laxa Tiv seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tiv shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Tiv is rocked!
Annunziata circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Tiv to the canvas! Tiv doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Annunziata keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Sampson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A counter left hand to the body from Harmbe misses its target.
Sampson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Harmbe walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sampson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Sampson fails to land with a series of punches.
Sampson misses with a wild combination.
Sampson looks to land a combination but Harmbe avoids it well.

It looks like Brock Sampson has been cut.
Harmbe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sampson.
Harmbe misses with a body shot.
Harmbe cracks Sampson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Sampson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Harmbe finish him?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No joy there for Sampson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sampson circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Harmbe. Sampson falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Harmbe!
