The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin throws a lazy right hand but Wiremu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
It appears Wiremu was looking to counter with a kick there.
Wiremu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Martin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wiremu tries to clinch up but Martin circles away and keeps his distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wiremu. Martin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wiremu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Martin. Martin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Wiremu misses with a hook. Martin ducked under it nicely.
Wiremu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Martin gets tackled into the cage by Wiremu. Wiremu maintains the clinch.

We've been hearing good reports from Danneskjöld's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A very excited looking Akoni Gray rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
