Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Collin Foote! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Biff Raper! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raper moves out of range of the strikes. Raper throws a front kick that sends Foote stumbling back into the cage. Foote avoids a kick to the body.
Foote has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Foote there as he acknowledges the shot. Raper takes a swing at Foote's ribcage but misses. Foote uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Foote definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Foote throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Foote avoids the head kick by Raper.
Foote swings widly with a right hand
and Raper counters with a lovely shot to the body. A big left from Raper misses. Raper throws a body kick that misses. An attempted straight right counter from Foote misses the target. Raper misses with a body kick. Foote lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Raper circles away quickly and effectively. Foote takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Raper throws a low kick, looking for Foote's leg but Foote calmly moves out of range. Foote throws a jab but it's blocked by Raper.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raper throws a head kick that misses and Foote counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Raper misses with a body kick. Foote throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Foote throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Raper. Foote shrugs it off though. Raper misses with a left hand and Foote counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Raper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Foote with a body punch. A glancing blow. Foote misses with a wild body shot. Foote throws a hook but Raper avoids it easily. Raper works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Raper connects with a right hand. Foote shakes it off. The crowd cheers as Raper lands an impressive looking overhand right. Foote doesn't seem phased though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Raper does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. It looked like Foote was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Raper.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Foote throws a body punch but Raper moves out of range. Raper tries to score with a low kick but Foote moves his leg out of the way. Raper displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Foote throws out the jab. Raper throws a push kick but Foote slaps the foot to one side. Raper looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Raper comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Raper throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Raper is looking to land body kicks. Raper lands a big head kick that sends Foote tumbling to the mat! Raper takes a step backwards and waves Foote back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Collin Foote has been cut. Raper has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Raper ducks under a wild hook from Foote. Raper throws a wild body kick that Foote sees coming a mile off. Foote seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Foote misses with a left hand and Raper counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Foote misses with a body shot.
A low kick from Raper is predictable there and Foote counters with a straight right hand. Foote throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foote throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Raper sees it coming and avoids it easily. Foote gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Raper tries a head kick but it misses.
Raper stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Raper throws a leg kick but Foote moved away. An attempted straight right counter from Foote misses the target. A punch combination from Foote misses. Raper feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Foote sprawling to the canvas! Foote rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Raper finish him?!
Foote is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Foote avoids the head kick by Raper.
Oh Foote is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Foote swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Foote seems to have got his legs back now. Raper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Raper fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Foote manages to avoid it. A counter left hand to the body from Foote misses its target. Foote misses with a hook. Raper ducked under it nicely. Foote cracks Raper with a right hand to the side of the head. Foote keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Raper. Foote throws a sloppy body shot
and Raper counters with a head kick that drops Foote to the mat! Foote scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Raper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Foote was well out of range. Poor timing from Raper. Raper doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Foote takes a kick to the side of the head. Raper lands a big head kick that sends Foote to the canvas! Raper follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coyote closes the distance and clinches. Coyote gets a trip takedown into half guard. Coyote winds up and cracks Osman with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Osman gets back to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coyote accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Osman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Coyote has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Osman is working away from the top position though. Osman moves nicely into side control. Osman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Coyote is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Osman asserts his dominance and retains side control. Coyote can't do much from the bottom here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Osman seems to be working for a kimura but Coyote defends the submission attempt. Coyote is not content to let Osman control the position. Coyote knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Osman on the ground.

It looks like Cathail Murphy has been cut. Murphy staying out of range there. Tomahawk darts in and clinches Murphy up against the cage. Tomahawk has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Murphy regains guard immediately. Murphy has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Tomahawk has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. We've been informed that Murphy has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Murphy shoots in looking for a takedown but Tomahawk manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Murphy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Killer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Meunier as he jumps to the side. Excellent takedown into side control there by Meunier. Meunier decides to take the fight back to the feet. Killer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Meunier but Meunier pushes him off and we're back to square one. Meunier leaves Killer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Killer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Meunier gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Killer wants a takedown but no success here.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Killer tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Meunier presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meunier cracks Killer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Meunier raining down hammerfists from mount. Killer is looking to improve his position but Meunier isn't that keen on the idea. Killer is working hard here to advance position. Killer tries to hold on but Meunier pushes him away. Killer can't escape the position.
Meunier is landing with some decent strikes but Killer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Meunier is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Killer can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Killer is looking to improve his position but Meunier isn't that keen on the idea. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Meunier stuffs the takedown attempt from Killer. Killer gets slowly back to his feet. Killer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Martin Meunier has been cut. No luck with that takedown attempt from Killer. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Killer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Excellent takedown into side control there by Killer. Killer trying to control the position but Meunier is working away.

Killer moves nicely into side control. Meunier is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Killer off and has taken his back! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Meunier's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
What can Killer do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Meunier tries to keep control of the position but Killer is staying busy. Chief Killer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Killer tries to escape but Meunier has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Meunier is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Killer. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Killer is in bad spot here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Killer trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Killer is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Martin Meunier is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Meunier keeps control of the position as Killer tries to break free.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benoit shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jackson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Benoit takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Benoit tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jackson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jackson lands a jab to the head.
Jackson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Benoit misses with a takedown attempt and Jackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson stuns Benoit with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Jackson lands a jab to Benoit's midsection. Jackson throws a lazy uppercut
and Benoit counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jackson! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. A control attempt from Jackson but he's now mounted! Jackson is trying desperately to improve position. Benoit manages to capitalize on a mistake by Jackson to take his back! Benoit is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Jackson with him. Jackson is trying to defend but Benoit has an arm under the chin now! Jackson grimaces and is forced to tap out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huron clinches. Man's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Huron tries to pull guard but Man holds him up against the cage and eventually Huron drops back down to his feet.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Huron tries to circle away but Man has him pinned against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Man. A head punch blocked on the inside by Huron. Huron tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Man's elbow. Man lands a hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short uppercut from Man. Huron tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Man smiles and moves away.
Huron looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Man is fending him off so far but Huron persists. Nope, Man circles away and we're back to standing. Man lands with a short head shot on the inside. Man is pushing Huron up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Man working Huron over with knees to the body. Man content to slow the pace in the clinch.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Man rushes Huron and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Man lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Huron backwards. Huron wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Man has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Man. Man lands with a short punch from the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Man displaying some good clinch control by pressing Huron up against the cage. Man lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Oh Huron is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Man using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Huron has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Huron seems to have got his legs back now. Man lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. A short right from Man on the inside. Man lands with a light punch inside. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Man lands a big right hand that drops Huron! The killer instinct kicks in and Man finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Man!

It looks like John Crosby has been cut. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Slayer has cracked Crosby with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Slayer lands another huge swinging hook and Crosby tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Crosby , before Slayer can land any more shots!
