The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Babur. Babur stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Babur wants it to stay on the feet. Babur throws a sloppy head kick and Shields moves out of range easily. A head kick misses from Babur. Shields appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Shields shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Babur but Babur pushes him off and we're back to square one. Shields on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Babur. Babur obviously looking to wear him down.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jorgenson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Marinyx sprawling to the canvas! Marinyx rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jorgenson finish him?!

It looks like Rodger Marinyx has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marinyx is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Jorgenson doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Marinyx crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Marinyx's bad books for that mishap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ray misses with a takedown and Ueli counters with a shoot takedown. Ray fights it but they end up in guard. Ueli not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ray wants to stand and escape but Ueli is having none of it. Ueli is looking to stand up but Ray won't let him. Ueli content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ueli sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ray's guard.

Ray tries to get to full guard but Ueli has control of the leg. Ray has hold of Ueli's hands but Ueli slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. Ray is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ueli scores with a couple of nice shots. Ueli is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ueli takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Ueli connects with a nice short shot to Ray's temple. Ueli controlling the pace. Ueli working over Ray with some ground and pound. Ray looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ueli seems to be working for a kimura but Ray defends the submission attempt. Ray taking some punishment here, with Ueli in his half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ueli connects with a nice short shot to Ray's temple. Ueli is controlling the pace.

Ueli is taking a breather. Ray says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ueli takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ueli connects with a nice short shot to Ray's temple. Ueli is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

It looks like Ryan Poole has been cut. Poole is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arnesson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Poole shoots in for a double leg but Arnesson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Poole has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Arne Arnesson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Poole. Poole has his takedown stuffed and Arnesson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Poole with that takedown attempt. Arnesson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Arne Arnesson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That could be painful for both fighters. Poole shoots and misses and Arnesson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Arnesson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Poole shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Arnesson sprawls well. Arnesson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Poole gets slowly back to his feet. Arnesson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Nice jab there from Arnesson.
Poole is rocked! Poole fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A quick step to the side and Arnesson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poole changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Arnesson tries to avoid it but Poole manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Arnesson to the ground. Arnesson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Poole looks winded! Poole takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Poole looks to clinch and Arnesson counters with a stiff right hand. Poole is still on wobbly legs! Can Arnesson finish him? Arnesson lands with a right and another and another! Poole is in big trouble! Arnesson lands again and this time it's lights out for Poole! A quality knockout there for Arnesson.
