Cruz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Guess Who's Coming To Dinner. Schlimen has chosen Wavey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Bruce Schlimen enters the cage!

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Schlimen! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schlimen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Schlimen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cruz sees it coming and defends easily. Still in half guard, Schlimen seems content to control. Schlimen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Schlimen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cruz manages to avoid the submission attempt. Schlimen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schlimen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schlimen just content to control the position. You can see the frustration on Cruz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Schlimen advances to full mount. Schlimen controlling his opponent. Cruz has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Schlimen is cranking Cruz's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Cruz! He's tightened the choke and Cruz is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bruce Schlimen! After the fight, Bruce Schlimen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Urkel jabs Silvan to the body, keeping him at a distance. Urkel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Urkel is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Urkel lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Urkel scores with a shoulder strike. Silvan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Urkel or not. Urkel on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Urkel circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Silvan to the canvas! Silvan doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Urkel keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mills darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Mills lands with a slapping head kick. Mills lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mohammed's sensitive parts. Mills misses with a kick to the body.
Mohammed is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Mills fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mohammed checks it well. Mills fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mohammed has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Mohammed walks into a jab. Mills dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mohammed. That did some damage! A head kick misses from Mills. Nice cross by Mills.
Mohammed is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mills lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Mills lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Mohammed is still on wobbly legs! Can Mills finish him? Mills lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Mills fakes the body blow, causing Mohammed to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Mohammed goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

An out of breath John Mills thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. Adam Mohammed spoke after the fight, saying 'Every fighting org. does this, when you have one last fight left they give you a tough fight. They think all fighters leave the org. after compliting the contract. This is bullshit, you guys are carear destroyers.'.

McWilliam closes the distance and pushes Viguier back into the cage. McWilliam misses with a hook from the clinch. A nice left hand lands by McWilliam.
Viguier is rocked! McWilliam pushes Viguier back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Oh Viguier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! McWilliam lands on the inside with an uppercut. McWilliam creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Viguier with a big uppercut! Viguier tries to clinch up but McWilliam pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Viguier to the mat! Viguier covers up and McWilliam unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Bandit takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Matthews. Bandit does a little dance to reset his feet. Bandit tries to score a power double leg takedown but Matthews sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bandit somewhat. Matthews displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bandit. Bandit throws a jab when Matthews was well out of range. Bandit misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matthews scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Matthews definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Bandit decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bandit takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Bandit has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bandit looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Matthews with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Matthews preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Bandit postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Matthews to stand up. A cross from Matthews lands. Matthews misses with a wild body shot. Bandit attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Matthews swings for the body but Bandit moves out of range.

Matthews punishes Bandit's body with a nice straight punch. Bandit dives in and grabs Matthews's left leg, looking for a takedown. Matthews pushes down on Bandit's head and hops out. Matthews seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. The Bandit is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Matthews throws a body punch but Bandit moves out of range. Bandit is looking to clinch. Matthews paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Matthews circles away from the clinch attempt.

Mirzamagomedov tries to close the distance and clinch but Gustavsson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gustavsson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Gustavsson scores with a punch to the head. Mirzamagomedov doesn't manage to clinch there - Gustavsson circles away.

Oxford gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Oxford takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
