The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrade misses with the combination.
Johnson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Andrade. Johnson scores with a hook. Johnson misses with a straight right. Johnson scores with a hook. Johnson throws out a powerful jab. Andrade throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease. Andrade tries to recover but Johnson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Andrade lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vierhoven tries to bum rush Dee with a series of wild strikes but Dee uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vierhoven tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dee swivels and escapes. Vierhoven shoots in looking for a takedown but Dee manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vierhoven's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Inu wants to sweep here but Takashi controlling him for the moment. Takashi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Inu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Inu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Takashi bucks up and tries to throw Inu off but instead Inu has got his back! Inu is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Takashi has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Takashi rolls, trying to escape but Inu keeps control of the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Saku Takashi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Takashi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Jones! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter fails to land the takedown. Fighter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jones lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Jones throws a series of punches but Fighter avoids them all with ease. Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Fighter backs up against the cage.
Jones's coach down at Captain America MMA/BJJ Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jones's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Jones connects with a body shot. Fighter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jones catches Fighter napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Fighter to the canvas!
Fighter is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones is working Fighter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Oh Fighter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fighter definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Fighter looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Fighter has momentary wrist control but Jones slips an elbow through the middle. Fighter looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jones passes into half guard.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fighter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fighter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones avoids the attempt from Fighter to control. Fighter avoids a series of strikes thrown by Jones.

Fighter has his takedown stuffed and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Fighter. Fighter tries to counter with a takedown but Jones is quick to defend against it. Fighter looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Standup Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Budo lands a jab to Shoemaker's midsection. Budo blocks a leg kick. The crowd cheers as Budo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shoemaker doesn't seem phased though. Budo connects with a right hand. Shoemaker shakes it off. Budo lands with a cross. Shoemaker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Budo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Budo moves into the clinch. Shoemaker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jab, jab by Budo - just one landing. Nice body punch from Budo. Shoemaker has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shoemaker there as he acknowledges the shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jab from Budo. Budo has closed the distance and engaged Shoemaker in a clinch.

Budo works on Shoemaker's body with a couple of short punches. Budo gets through Shoemaker's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Budo lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Budo lands a right hand. Budo lands with a light punch inside. Budo scores with a shot to the side of Shoemaker's head. Budo creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Shoemaker's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Shoemaker drops to his knees and Budo pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thay Budo! Thay Budo is the new light heavyweight champion! In his post fight interview, Thay Budo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. Jordon Shoemaker was interviewed post fight and said 'JAG 4 Lyfe'.
