Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kari Krossi (ranked 2054 p4p, 310 weight class) and Sea Level Cain (ranked 2857 p4p, 407 weight class). Krossi comes into the arena with Blümchen - Ich bin wieder hier blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain throws a jab when Krossi was well out of range. Cain throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Krossi counters with a nice right hand that sends Cain toppling to the canvas! Cain scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Krossi finish him?!
It looks like Sea Level Cain has been cut. Krossi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Cain paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Cain throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Krossi tries to counter by clinching up but Cain breaks away and moves out of range. Cain misses with a hook
and Krossi counters with a crisp one two that drops Cain! Krossi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Cain to his feet! Cain is in big trouble!
Cain is rocked! Sea Level Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cain throws a leg kick and Krossi counters with a right hand from hell and Cain is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kari Krossi! Kari Krossi tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooke dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Quinn. That did some damage! A low kick from Cooke misses and Quinn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Cooke listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Quinn looks to score with a jab to the body but Cooke is just out of range. Cooke misses with a wild combination.
Quinn looks to land a right hand but Cooke moved out of range. Cooke feinted there with a counter leg kick. Cooke keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Good leg kick by Cooke there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Cooke checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. A big right from Cooke misses. Cooke cracks the inside of Quinn's front leg. Quinn lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Quinn stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cooke. Cooke uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Quinn. Cooke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Moura lands a glancing blow to the side of Garcia's head. Moura scores with a takedown into Garcia's guard. Garcia has his foot on Moura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moura works his way back into a safe position though. Moura in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Moura distracts Garcia with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Moura pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Garcia is keeping the position for now. Garcia is trying to control the position but Moura postures up. Moura content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moura wants to control from the top but Garcia keeps moving. Garcia is looking for a triangle but Moura pushes his legs off easily.

He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Moura! Garcia wants to control but Moura postures up. Moura is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Garcia is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Moura working away. The referee asks Moura politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Moura prefers to stall for the moment though. Garcia is looking to reverse the position.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Moura sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Garcia is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Moura controls the position. Garcia is looking to regain half guard here but Moura keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Garcia takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
You can see the frustration on Garcia's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Moura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Garcia keeps working. Moura swings around for an armbar but Garcia sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Moura's guard. Garcia lands a couple of decent looking shots. Moura not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shui was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Franchise drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Shui lands a jab to the nose. Shui lunges at Franchise with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Franchise's hand. Shui throws a poor cross that misses
and Franchise counters with a straight right hand. Franchise lands a big head kick that sends Shui tumbling to the mat! Franchise takes a step backwards and waves Shui back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Lin Shui has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Franchise drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Shui's head, knocking him out cold! Franchise is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Douchebag shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ghost as he avoids it easily. Ghost thumps Douchebag with a low kick. Douchebag shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ghost finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
It seemed like Douchebag was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Ghost looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Ghost thuds his right hand into Douchebag's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Douchebag shoots in and drives through. Ghost sprawls well. Hifives Ghost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dardan Douchebag. Nice cross by Ghost. Danga de danga de dang - Stark scores with a four punch combination! Ector gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ector breaks from the clinch.

It looked like Ector wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Stark displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Stark closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ector's guard. Ector kicks Stark off and gets to his feet. Ector bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Ector looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ector is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stark is controlling him. Brandon Stark has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stark tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ector sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stark somewhat. Kay Ector has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Stark. Ector throws a hook to the side of Stark's head but Stark sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ector tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stark paws at him with a jab and circles away. Stark lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ector at a distance.
A swing and a miss from Stark. Ector throws a body shot but no joy. Ector connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stark's hands. Ector throws a shot to the body.
Ector works the jab nicely. Sloppy strikes from Stark. Those never looked like landing. Ector is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Ector avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stark takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stark misses with a two punch combination.
Ector throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Stark on the side of the head. Ector throws a body punch but Stark moves out of range. Ector lands with an overhand left. Stark shoots and misses letting Ector counter with a right hand. Nice takedown defense from Ector. No joy for Stark on that attempt. Ector with a jab. Ector takes the fight into the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dead throws a leg kick and Xi Jia cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Xi Jia lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dead throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Xi Jia has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Xi Jia there as he acknowledges the shot. Dead takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Dead throws a sloppy head kick and Xi Jia moves out of range easily. Dead scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Dead throws a body shot but no joy. Dead connects with a single shot there. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Xi Jia, as that shot connected.

It looks like Xi Jia has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Xi Jia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Xi Jia drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Dead's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Xi Jia tries to move into full mount but can't pass Dead's legs. Xi Jia has knee on belly and moves into mount. Xi Jia is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dead has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dead gets back to half guard. Dead wants to get back to full guard. Xi Jia wants to pass the guard but Dead is defending well. Dead tries to roll over but Xi Jia keeps him under control. Dead is trying to stand up here but Xi Jia is controlling him well. Dead has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Xi Jia wants to free his trapped foot but Dead is holding on for dear life with his legs. Xi Jia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dead defends it well. Kang Xi Jia overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dead is looking for a sweep. Xi Jia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Xi Jia is pressing down on Dead's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dead is holding on for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Xi Jia is thwarting Dead's attempts to control the position. Xi Jia is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Xi Jia seems to be working for a kimura but Dead defends the submission attempt. Dead is looking to control Xi Jia's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dead avoid being mounted? Xi Jia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dead is just riding it out for now. Xi Jia eventually gives up the hold. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Xi Jia here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Dead is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
