The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Beelzebub does no damage. Beelzebub throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range. Williams moves into range and connects with a jab. Williams takes a swing at Beelzebub's ribcage but misses. Williams's jab looks to have found its range, popping Beelzebub under the eye. Beelzebub scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Brandon Williams has been cut. Williams tests Beelzebub's chin there with a solid looking shot. A big left from Beelzebub misses. Valea misses with a low kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Valea. Calvero checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Valea looks to score with a jab to the body but Calvero is just out of range. Valea swings away with a body shot that misses
and Calvero counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Calvero lands with a hook. Valea tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Valea takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Calvero lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Valea moves out of range of the strikes. Calvero gets in close and instigates a clinch. Calvero lands with a right to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A right hook to the body lands for Calvero.
Calvero lands with a light punch inside. I was talking to Calvero's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Calvero working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Calvero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Calvero scores with a hook. Calvero lands with a nice body punch. Calvero is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A jab from Calvero does it's job there. Valea on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Calvero scores with a shoulder strike. Still in the clinch, Calvero scores with a nice short uppercut. Valea is trying to break free. Valea wants to get back to striking at distance but Calvero won't allow it.

Calvero lands a big right hand that sends Valea crashing to the mat! Calvero stays standing though and waves Valea back to his feet! Calvero walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Valea drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Calvero swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Valea's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Finn Calvero! Finn Calvero really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Knockdown Clothes logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shadow with a poor takedown and Toa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Toa digs a good hook to Shadow's body.
Toa connects with a single shot there. Toa dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Toa stalks Shadow and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shadow's face. Shadow staggers backwards, shaken. Shadow on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The fighters circle momentarily. Toa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Nice straight punches there by Toa. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Toa.

and Toa counters with a three punch combo that has Shadow backing up. Shadow nods at Toa to acknowledge the strikes. Shadow with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Toa to counter with a crisp jab. Shadow misses with a takedown attempt and Toa counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice uppercut lands for Toa. That snapped Shadow's head back.
Toa moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Toa bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jimi Toa seems to be getting the better of the standup. Toa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Toa wants it to stay on the feet. Toa takes the fight into the clinch. Chief Shadow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Toa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Shadow. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Toa throws a series of strikes that have Shadow backpedaling.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shadow shoots and misses and Toa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Toa has Shadow up against the cage in a clinch.

Toa fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Jimi Toa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Shadow doesn't succeed with the takedown and Toa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimi Toa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Toa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Mishima gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Nebel gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Mishima is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carvalho defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Malenko. Carvalho throws a head kick that misses. That kick from Carvalho tenderised Malenko's leg. Malenko is trying to keep his angry face on. Malenko goes for a double leg but Carvalho avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carvalho continues to drive forward. Carvalho lands a body shot.
Malenko gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Carvalho. Carvalho is looking to slow Malenko down with leg kicks. Carvalho's corner calls for a 1-2. 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Snowdon! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut there from Mfer. Snowdon misses with a jab to the body
and Mfer counters with a three punch combo that has Snowdon backing up. Snowdon nods at Mfer to acknowledge the strikes. Snowdon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mfer. Snowdon cracks the inside of Mfer's front leg. Snowdon lands with a nice body punch. Mfer seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Mfer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Snowdon moves out of range as Mfer strikes. Mfer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snowdon to score an easy takedown into full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Snowdon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Snowdon trying to control the action but Mfer is working from the bottom. Snowdon tries to advance to mount but Mfer denies him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mfer tries to buck Snowdon off but Snowdon is having none of it. Snowdon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mfer has escaped the position, nice work there. Snowdon is trying to get an arm triangle but Mfer is defending well. Snowdon is looking to take a break and control but Mfer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Snowdon advances nicely into full mount. Mfer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Snowdon controlling his opponent. Snowdon is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Snowdon!
