The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vandrax closes the distance and clinches. Vandrax tries a knee to the head but sanchez blocks it.

Cabal's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Trapt--Sound Off. Brian Fantana told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabal throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Brian Fantana has been cut. Cabal clinches. Cabal stalls. Cabal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cabal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Cabal fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cabal takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. BOOM! Cabal connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Fantana really wants to buck Cabal off and get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cabal tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Fantana is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Fantana is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Cabal lands with some strikes. The referee warns Fantana that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Cabal has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fantana avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Cabal blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Cabal tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Cabal prevents Fantana from escaping the position. Cabal happy to just control the position for now. Cabal has knee on belly and moves into mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fantana wants to get back to his feet.

Cabal stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Fantana with a lazy takedown attempt and Cabal counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fantana won't be happy with that. Terron Cabal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fantana dodges the ground and pound from Cabal. Cabal in side control, just content to control the action for now. Cabal has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Fantana stops Cabal from passing to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fantana is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Cabal is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fantana will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Monty manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Anderson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Monty manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Anderson has Monty in his guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kula shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duddy but Duddy pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kula throws a head kick but Duddy moves out of range.
Duddy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kula to the mat! Kula manages to get full guard. Duddy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Duddy forces his way into half guard. Kula avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Duddy. Duddy is trying to work for a kimura but Kula is defending well.

He thinks about going to the ground but LIDDELL looks back up at him and smiles so Almeida waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
