1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Chapman! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chapman on the wrong end of a nice jab. Chapman lets loose with a powerful body kick. Genson will feel that in the morning. Chapman throws a nice outside leg kick. Genson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Chapman throws a series of punches but Genson avoids them all with ease. Genson is looking to slow Chapman down with leg kicks. Genson fails to land with a series of punches.

Leben is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rogers connects with a decent elbow. Rogers looks up at the clock and then as Leben takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rogers smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Leben avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Rogers. Rogers could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Leben tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rogers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Leben really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rogers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Leben takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Rogers throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Leben wants to get back to his feet but Rogers drags him back down. Rogers scoring with punches and elbows.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Leben shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rogers napping and manages to drive through into side control! Leben working away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rogers landing strikes, looking to finish! Leben is looking to improve his position but Rogers isn't that keen on the idea. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rogers misses with a head shot. Leben swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Rogers trying to control but Leben is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Rogers showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rogers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tamad leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Smith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith tries for a takedown but Tamad sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Smith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tamad's guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goines closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Goines controlling the position from side mount. Goines thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Goines slows the pace down. Goines working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Synyster Gates just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Beardwood throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gates stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Beardwood keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Beardwood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gates moves away. Nigel Beardwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Gates or perhaps it was just good defense by Beardwood which made him look bad. Beardwood misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gates throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beardwood's waist but Beardwood gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gates off to one side. Beardwood lands a left and a right that send Gates crashing to the mat, dazed. Beardwood thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Gates is rocked! Beardwood circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Gates tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Beardwood wins by KO!

Gorniy feints and as Late raises his hands in defense, Gorniy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Late really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Late wants to stand up but Gorniy is controlling him. Late will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gorniy showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
