3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Son Goku! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conford swats away the attempt to clinch by Goku. Conford has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches in the buildup to the fight. Goku fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Conford has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Goku uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Conford has time to react. A combination from Goku does no damage. Conford throws a good cross that connects.

Goku throws a lazy right hand but Conford sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. It looked like Conford was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Conford takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That sent Yaj stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Yaj connects with a jab. Knuckles throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Yaj looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Yaj throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Knuckles fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Knuckles throws a wild hook but Yaj just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Knuckles gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Yaj raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McStafferson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rees Mogg but Rees Mogg pushes him off and we're back to square one. McStafferson misses with a takedown attempt and Rees Mogg counters with a series of strikes. McStafferson will be more careful next time no doubt. Rees Mogg ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McStafferson moves away. McStafferson has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McStafferson. A little feinted left hand from Rees Mogg on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Jacob Rees Mogg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaz McStafferson. McStafferson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rees Mogg sprawls well. Rees Mogg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McStafferson gets slowly back to his feet. Rees Mogg swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Kaz McStafferson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Walker managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ambe.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yaj slips under a jab from Butabi. Butabi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Butabi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Butabi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Butabi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Yaj being controlled here, momentarily. Butabi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yaj wants to improve his position but instead Butabi has moved into half guard.
Yaj really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Butabi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Butabi in particular looking to stall. Butabi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Butabi is looking for a kimura but Yaj is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Butabi to get the leverage. Butabi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yaj is just riding it out for now. Butabi eventually gives up the hold. Butabi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yaj defends it well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yaj can do anything to dispel that myth. Butabi sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Yaj defending well though. Butabi is taking a breather. Yaj says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
