The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White darts in and clinches Peaker up against the cage. White lands a right hand. White lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Peaker or not. Peaker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Peaker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as White throws out the jab. Peaker appears to be looking for a counter takedown. White drives through with a takedown into guard. White wants to pass the guard but Peaker is keeping the position. Peaker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground. Peaker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. White is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. White wants to control from the top but Peaker keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! White jumps guard and drags Peaker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Peaker is in close to White's body, working some short punches and elbows. White has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peaker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Peaker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faustin looks to land a combination but Submarine avoids it well. Submarine lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Faustin circles away quickly and effectively. Submarine goes for a double leg but Faustin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Faustin continues to drive forward. Submarine looks to land a combination but Faustin avoids it well. Faustin lands with an overhand left. Faustin throws a nice looking combination but Submarine bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Submarine is looking for the big counter here. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Submarine has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Submarine looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Decent striking displayed by Faustin there. Submarine misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice jab there from Faustin. Submarine is still on wobbly legs! Can Faustin finish him? Submarine doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Submarine misses with a double jab.
Submarine is breathing heavily. Faustin darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Submarine's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Faustin before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mikhail Faustin! After the fight, Mikhail Faustin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buck missing with a left hand there. Alviso was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Alviso seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Alviso throws a nice looking combination but Buck bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Alviso takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Alviso goes for a double leg but Buck avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Buck continues to drive forward. Buck fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Alviso has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Young Buck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alviso throws a hook to the side of Buck's head but Buck sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Buck cracks the inside of Alviso's front leg. Buck throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Buck enables Alviso to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Buck manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Alviso scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Alviso slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Alviso has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Check out the look on Alviso's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Alviso has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Alviso working the head with strikes. Buck is looking to reverse the position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacheco swats away the attempt to clinch by Takaziko. Pacheco misses with a takedown attempt - Takaziko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pacheco changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Takaziko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Takaziko misses with a strike from the bottom. Pacheco tries for a kimura but Takaziko is defending well. Pacheco looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pacheco controlling the position. Pacheco has hold of Takaziko's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Takaziko seems comfortable defending it but Pacheco has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Takaziko is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Takaziko is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Pacheco couldn't care less - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eldos misses with a straight right. Pena tries to close the distance and clinch but Eldos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Eldos thows a left - swing and a miss! Pena lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Eldos throws a hook to the side of Pena's head but Pena sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Eldos throws a jab but it's blocked by Pena. Pena fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Eldos avoids it really well and circles away. Eldos thows a left - swing and a miss! Pena shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Eldos as he avoids it easily. Eldos throws a hook but Pena avoids it easily. A jab from Eldos does it's job there. Pena tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Eldos swivels and escapes. Pasti Eldos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demarte Pena. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pena tries to clinch up but Eldos circles away and keeps his distance. Eldos throws the left hand but Pena avoids the punch easily. Eldos moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromPena. Eldos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Eldos slaps away a takedown attempt from Pena, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pena moves away from the strike by Eldos. Eldos throws a hook but Pena blocks it. Nice defenses there by Pena. No luck for Pena with that takedown attempt. Eldos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pena uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Eldos. Eldos misses with a straight left. Eldos throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pena uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Eldos. Pena misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Eldos throwing a counter right hand but Pena manages to avoid it. Pena on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. We've been hearing reports that Eldos has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Eldos connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Pena looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Eldos throws out a loose jab but Pena uses good head movement to avoid it. Eldos misses with an uppercut. Pena saw that one coming. Eldos looks to land a left hand but Pena moved out of range nicely.

Eldos gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pena to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eldos has momentary wrist control but Pena slips an elbow through the middle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pena works over Eldos with some ground and pound from guard. Eldos felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Pena looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Eldos can't hide his disappointment, as Pena celebrates the victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vieira tests Hernandez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Vieira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hernandez circles away. Vieira is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hernandez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hernandez is looking to counter punch. Vieira slips under a jab from Hernandez. Vieira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hernandez's waist but Hernandez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vieira off to one side. Matias Hernandez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardinho Vieira. A very excited looking Taz McKane rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kendo Hirigushi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ibbe Ribbler! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hirigushi with a nice cross. Ribbler misses with a lunging right hand
and Hirigushi counters with a nice uppercut. Hirigushi digs a good hook to Ribbler's body.
Hirigushi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ribbler moves away. Ribbler appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Hirigushi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ribbler. Hirigushi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Hirigushi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ribbler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ribbler takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Ribbler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hirigushi. Hirigushi scores with a nice strike. A big right from Hirigushi misses. A telegraphed right hand from Hirigushi misses the target. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ribbler has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Hirigushi misses with a body shot
and Ribbler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hirigushi is looking to clinch. Hirigushi throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ribbler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hirigushi but Hirigushi pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hirigushi connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribbler defending well as Hirigushi loads up on a big left hand. Ribbler looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ribbler throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hirigushi to regain full guard. Ribbler won't allow Hirigushi to sweep him here. Ribbler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hirigushi keeping moving, preventing Ribbler from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ribbler looking to pass the guard. Hirigushi pulls Ribbler in to control the position. Ribbler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hirigushi controlling Ribbler's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ribbler tries to free his leg and advance position but Hirigushi is retaining full guard. Ribbler stops Hirigushi from standing up. Hirigushi keeping moving, preventing Ribbler from controlling successfully.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hirigushi connects with a body shot that sends Ribbler's belly button to the back. Hirigushi scores with a decent looking hook. Kendo Hirigushi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ribbler misses with a hook
and Hirigushi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hirigushi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ribbler's head backwards. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hirigushi throws out a token jab with nothing on it. It looks like Hirigushi has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Hirigushi jabbing away but nothing is landing. A little jabbing left from Ribbler on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Ribbler's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hirigushi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ribbler scrambles back to his feet. Hirigushi lands a nice shot that snaps Ribbler's head back.
Ribbler lands a jab to Hirigushi's midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribbler swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hirigushi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Ribbler throws a body shot but no joy. A telegraphed right hand from Hirigushi misses the target. Ribbler misses with an uppercut
and Hirigushi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ribbler's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ribbler duly obliges. Hirigushi wants to clinch up but Ribbler keeps it at a distance. Ribbler throws out a counter right but Hirigushi avoids it with no problem. Hirigushi paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Ribbler throws a jab when Hirigushi was well out of range. Ribbler circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ribbler ducks under a wild hook from Hirigushi. Hirigushi is looking to clinch but Ribbler is avoiding it.
Hirigushi staying out of range there. Hirigushi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ribbler uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ribbler misses with a right hand and Hirigushi counters with a series of strikes. Ribbler will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ribbler uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hirigushi. Ribbler looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hirigushi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Ribbler scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hirigushi in his tracks.
Hirigushi is rocked! A punch lands to the side of Hirigushi 's head but he takes it in his stride. Oh Hirigushi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hirigushi tries to clinch there but Ribbler circles away.
The fighters circling - Ribbler throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hirigushi throws an off balance right hand
and Ribbler counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ribbler lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Hirigushi - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Ribbler!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ibbe Ribbler! Ibbe Ribbler is the new lightweight champion! Ibbe Ribbler thanked the fans post fight for their support.
