0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crush Bandicoot! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Francis DeMontford and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bandicoot avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kwan gets caught flat footed, as Bandicoot shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kwan looking to control.
Bandicoot postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bandicoot cracks Kwan with a solid left hand. Bandicoot showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bandicoot has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bandicoot forces his way into half guard. Kwan tries to roll over but Bandicoot keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bandicoot landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Bandicoot lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
It looks like Ray Kwan has been cut. Kwan's coaches at Temple of Cloud Warriors-youth have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bandicoot connects with a nice short shot to Kwan's temple.
Ray Kwan's cut is getting worse.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bandicoot lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kwan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bandicoot on the ground. Kwan wants to get back to full guard. Bandicoot works his way into full mount! Bandicoot with a couple of short strikes.
Ray Kwan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Bandicoot lands a big shot there that rocks Kwan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ray Kwan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Crush Bandicoot! During a confident post fight interview, Crush Bandicoot thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parks throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Sulayman Jihad has been cut. Jihad lands with a hook. Parks tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Nice defenses there by Parks. A counter left hand to the body from Parks misses its target. No joy there for Jihad, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Parks listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Parks thows a left - swing and a miss! Parks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Parks definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Parks with a nice cross. Jihad steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Parks. Left hook, right uppercut from Jihad. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jihad avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jihad misses with a hook to the body

Parks is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Parks ducks under a wild hook from Jihad. Parks has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Parks there as he acknowledges the shot. Jihad uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Parks. Jihad lands with an overhand left.

Parks was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Parks uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jihad. Parks swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jihad. Jihad looks to score with a jab to the body but Parks is just out of range. Parks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Parks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jihad tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Parks was well out of range. Poor timing from Jihad. Jihad scores with a body shot.

Jihad obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jihad throws an overhand right that lands on Parks's shoulder, as Parks tries to avoid the shot. Parks was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. This has been an exciting period of action! Jihad feints a jab promting Parks to slip. Jihad then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Parks slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Jihad misses with a hook. Parks ducked under it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parks throws a shot from downtown. Jihad moves away and avoids it. Jihad swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jihad throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jihad uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parks.
A little jabbing left from Jihad on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Jihad throws a lazy uppercut
and Parks counters with a crisp right that sends Jihad to the canvas! Parks follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Monroe catches Kankunnen right on the button with a cross. Kankunnen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Monroe throws out the jab. Good standup being displayed there by Monroe as he connects with a hook. Monroe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kankunnen, pushing him back against the cage. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kankunnen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Monroe scores with a shoulder strike.
Kankunnen is rocked! Monroe pushes off an throws an elbow but Kankunnen leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Kankunnen is still on wobbly legs! Can Monroe finish him? Monroe stops a takedown attempt from Kankunnen.
Clinched against the cage, Monroe lands a big elbow that drops Kankunnen! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Kankunnen is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Urameshi. No joy for Barakus on that attempt. A telegraphed right hand from Urameshi misses the target. Barakus steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Urameshi. Barakus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Urameshi. Barakus lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Urameshi at a distance.
A low kick from Barakus is predictable there and Barakus takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Urameshi stuns Barakus with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Urameshi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Urameshi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Barakus drives through and clinches with Urameshi against the cage.

Good standup being displayed there by Barakus as he connects with a hook. Barakus wants to clinch up but Urameshi keeps it at a distance. Barakus misses with a body shot
and Urameshi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Urameshi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Urameshi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barakus. Yusuke Urameshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of AJ Barakus.

Bantom wants to get back to full guard. We've been hearing good reports from Carioca's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Carioca looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Carioca looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Carioca is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Carioca wants to control but Bantom is keeping him busy. Carioca is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bantom has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carioca is working away from the top position though. Carioca is trying to work for a kimura but Bantom is defending well.
Carioca is thwarting Bantom's attempts to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Carioca wants to pass the guard but Bantom is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carioca might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Carioca is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bantom is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bantom is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Carioca dives into side control.
Carioca wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bantom keeps working. Carioca is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bantom knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wyatt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luiz Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Santos misses with a hook. Santos loads up on a big right hand but Wyatt slips the punch. Santos feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wyatt's calf. Santos dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Wyatt takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Santos advances to half guard. Wyatt is staying active underneath Santos, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Santos is looking for a kimura here.

Brent Wyatt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wyatt lands a left and a right that send Santos crashing to the mat, dazed. Wyatt thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Santos is rocked! Santos keeps the fight on the outside. Santos is still on wobbly legs! Can Wyatt finish him? Santos cracks Wyatt with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
