The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rocksteady throws a right and a left that Avery avoids nicely. Avery feinted with a counter takedown. Rocksteady misses with a two punch combination.
Donk. Rocksteady catches Avery right on the button with a cross. Avery just misses with a punch to the body.
Rocksteady throws a counter combo. Avery bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Avery tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Rocksteady really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Avery. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Avery in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Rocksteady is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macri misses with a combination
and Lazzyie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Macri trying to hold on to Lazzyie's head to control him but Lazzyie postures up.
Macri wants to improve his position but Lazzyie is controlling well.
Lazzyie wants to pass to mount but Macri is defending the position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lazzyie connects with a nice short shot to Macri's temple. Lazzyie tries to pass to full mount but Macri defends it. Lazzyie lands with a punch from half guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lazzyie working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lazzyie scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Macri on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lazzyie is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Macri looking for subs off his back but Lazzyie has passed one foot through into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Macri works his way to full guard. Good work.

Macri looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lazzyie throws a strike but Macri rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Macri tries to free his leg and advance position but Lazzyie is retaining full guard. Macri trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Macri trying to control the position from guard on top but Lazzyie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lazzyie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Macri is one step ahead there. Macri wants to pass the guard but Lazzyie is keeping the position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage throws a looping overhand right but Crocodile ducks down to avoid it. Nice shot by Savage. Savage looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Crocodile takes a shot right to the bread basket. Crocodile uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Savage. Savage closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Blue Blue Crocodile has been cut. Savage misses with a combination
and Crocodile counters with a shoot takedown. Savage fights it but they end up in guard. Crocodile with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crocodile controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Savage is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Crocodile has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crocodile engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Savage seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Crocodile will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Crocodile with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Crocodile with a nice head shot there. Crocodile landing some decent shots from guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crocodile accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Crocodile stops Savage from standing up. Crocodile postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Savage wants to control but Crocodile is keeping busy.
Crocodile wants to lay and pray for a moment but Savage keeps working. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Savage can do anything to dispel that myth.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crocodile is looking to take a break and control but Savage is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Savage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Savage is trying to maintain the position but Crocodile is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Savage bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Savage connects with a body shot that sends Crocodile's belly button to the back. Savage scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Crocodile went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Savage is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Savage throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Crocodile sees it coming and avoids it easily. Crocodile appears to be looking for a counter takedown. A close round but Randy Savage will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Blue Blue Crocodile's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Crocodile walks into a straight right hand from Savage. Savage comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Savage cracks Crocodile with a right hand to the side of the head. Savage throws a jab but it's blocked by Crocodile. Savage lands the left hand. Savage's coach down at BIGISLAND BIGGUNS WARRIOR TRAINING was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Savage's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Savage fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Crocodile takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Crocodile is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Savage ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. That's three minutes gone in the round. Savage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crocodile is one step ahead there. Savage is controlling Crocodile's posture. Savage is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crocodile is controlling him. Savage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crocodile. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Savage trying to keep a closed guard but Crocodile is proving a slippery customer.
Savage wants to stand up but Crocodile is controlling him. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Crocodile preventing the sweep.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Savage scores with a punch to the head. Savage misses with an uppercut. Crocodile saw that one coming. Savage throws a series of punches but Crocodile avoids them all with ease. Randy Savage seems to be getting the better of the standup. Crocodile uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Savage. A counter left hand to the body from Crocodile misses its target. Savage misses with a right hand and Crocodile counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Savage misses with a lunging right hand
and Crocodile counters with a single leg into guard. Savage didn't expect that. Savage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Crocodile trying to control the position from guard on top but Savage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Savage is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Savage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Blue Blue Crocodile's cut. That's time! Crocodile's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Crocodile tries to counter with a takedown but Savage is quick to defend against it. Savage throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Crocodile on the side of the head.

Savage connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Crocodile's hands. Blue Blue Crocodile has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Savage misses the shot to the body. Crocodile half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Savage loads up on a big right hand but Crocodile slips the punch. Crocodile is looking for a counter combo. Savage scores with a punch to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Savage lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Savage throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Crocodile slips under a jab from Savage. Crocodile feinted with a counter takedown.

A little feinted left hand from Crocodile on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Savage throws a body shot but no joy. Crocodile fires out a quick counter leg kick but Savage just manages to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Savage lands a lovely overhand right. Savage lands with an overhand left. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Savage throws out a loose jab but Crocodile uses good head movement to avoid it. Savage misses with a straight left. Savage swinging wildly here.
Nice defenses there by Crocodile. Crocodile looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. The fighters circling - Savage throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Crocodile drops down looking for a counter takedown but Savage sprawls and moves away.
And that's the end of the fight! Randy Savage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Savage winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

It looks like Zaurbek Akhmedov has been cut. Mikkonen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Akhmedov. That did some damage! Mikkonen throws a poor cross that misses
and Akhmedov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mikkonen throws an overhand right that lands on Akhmedov's shoulder, as Akhmedov tries to avoid the shot. We've been told by Akhmedov's head coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mikkonen misses with an uppercut

Messer is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Nikil Jr with a body shot. Nikil Jr fails with a takedown attempt.
