1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jeff Schulpp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Old Johnson! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schulpp has his takedown stuffed enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab. Johnson throws a head kick but Schulpp moves out of range.
Johnson misses with a head kick.
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. No luck with that takedown attempt from Schulpp. Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Schulpp half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Johnson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johnson lands in his opponent's guard. Schulpp has his hands on Johnson's head, controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schulpp's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson wants to control from the top but Schulpp keeps moving. Schulpp pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage. Schulpp looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Schulpp has Johnson pulled in close to control his posture. Schulpp is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Schulpp has control of Johnson's left arm, preventing Johnson from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schulpp continues to stall. Schulpp keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Schulpp has his feet on Johnson's thighs here. He's pushed Johnson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Johnson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mini Max! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Max feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Viktorov is looking to cinch up a triangle. Max throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Viktorov's body to avoid the submission. Viktorov has instead reached around Max's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Viktorov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Aleksey Viktorov! A relieved looking Aleksey Viktorov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miranda fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lister shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Miranda napping and manages to drive through into side control! Miranda is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Lister creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Lister is chipping away with strikes.
Miranda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lister. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lister working the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lister in side control, just content to control the action for now. Lister looks up at the clock and then as Miranda takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lister smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Miranda tries to improve position but can't. Lister controls the position from side control. Lister has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lister lands a couple of good shots and Miranda has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Lister is landing with strikes. Miranda can't take much more of this. Miranda can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lister throwing damaging strikes from the back! Miranda could be in trouble here!
Lister looking to break Miranda's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Miranda remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Lister will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Miranda is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Good control from Lister. Lister lands a shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lister connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Miranda to escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lister looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Miranda taps!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Page gets caught flat footed, as Cali shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Page not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Page keeping moving, preventing Cali from controlling successfully. Cali trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cali trying to control but Page is working from the bottom. Cali is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cali drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cali jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Cali drops back looking for a leg! Page is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Page manages to kick Cali off! Cali jumps back into Page's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cali looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cali thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Page keeping moving, preventing Cali from controlling successfully. Cali advances position into side control! Cali is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Page is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cali tries for a kimura but Page is defending well. Cali tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cali has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cali working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Cali has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Page is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Cali yanks on the arm and Page is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Cali.
