The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esposito on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. That kick from Esposito tenderised Dahlberg's leg. Dahlberg is trying to keep his angry face on. Esposito motions for Dahlberg to come forward. Esposito throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Dahlberg keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holliday slips a straight right by Cain. Cain uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Holliday. Cain loads up on a big right hand but Holliday slips the punch. A momentary lapse in concentration from Holliday enables Cain to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Holliday manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Cain content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cain gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Cain shoots in for a takedown but Holliday shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Holliday misses with a hook. Cain ducked under it nicely.

The cut above Harry Holliday's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Cain feints a jab promting Holliday to slip. Cain then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Holliday slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. A big left from Holliday misses. Cain darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cain is keen to just control but Holliday is a slippery customer. Cain stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Holliday uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cain. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cain. Holliday throws a leg kick which misses Cain's front leg but catches the back leg as Cain tries to avoid it. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Cain here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Alvarez has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Stern has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Alvarez lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Stern backwards. Alvarez lands a left hand.

After the fight, Mentor Guruland was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
