Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Grundmann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Tate ! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tate leaves Grundmann with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Grundmann gets caught napping as Tate dives in and scores a takedown. Grundmann manages to retain guard. Tate in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Tate preventing the sweep. Grundmann controlling the position. Tate missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Grundmann holds on and takes a little breather. Grundmann working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tate doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tate manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grundmann trying to control the position.
Tate throws an elbow that misses. Grundmann uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tate 's guard. Nice move by Grundmann!
Tate should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grundmann advances position into side control! Tate tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Grundmann wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Grundmann is looking to take a break and control but Tate is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Grundmann thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Grundmann has hold of Tate 's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Tate tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Grundmann cranks the arm and Tate screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Tate , who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circle momentarily. Koko darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Will Thomas has been cut. Koko cracks Thomas on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Thomas falls backwards against the ropes. Koko follows up with more strikes that drop Thomas to his knees. Koko keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Thomas! This one is all over!
