Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Sanna! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Todd Rumper! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rumper throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sanna sees it coming and avoids it easily. And Sanna counters with a quick kick to the body but Rumper blocks it. Rumper misses with a low kick. Sanna connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rumper's hands. A slapping leg kick lands for Sanna.
Rumper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It looked like Sanna was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Sanna's corner calls for a 1-2. Sanna obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Todd Rumper has been cut. Rumper misses with the combination.
Rumper tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sanna lands a big head kick that sends Rumper tumbling to the mat! Sanna takes a step backwards and waves Rumper back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rumper is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sanna uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rumper. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Rumper seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Sanna shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Rumper is backing up but Sanna catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Rumper covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Sanna Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Sanna! Michael Sanna is the new light heavyweight champion!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bison does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Bison throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Nucombe is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Bison. Bison keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bison feints and then cracks Nucombe's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nucombe down. Bison thows a left - swing and a miss! Bison throws a head kick that misses. Nucombe takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Bison tries a head kick but it misses.

Bison throws out a leg kick but Nucombe moves out of range and Bison only half commits. Nucombe seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bison throws a push kick but Nucombe slaps the foot to one side. Bison misses with a hook. Nucombe ducked under it nicely. and Nucombe counters by moving into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Nucombe lands on the inside with an uppercut. Nucombe lands with a light punch inside. Bison blocks an uppercut.

Nucombe pushes Bison against the cage. Nucombe is working some dirty boxing. Nucombe pushes off with a quick right hook! Bison goes down! Bison tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Nucombe moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
