Cheat gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cheat isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Philips stacks Cheat on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Philips!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee asks Philips politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Philips prefers to stall for the moment though.

Philips is working to tighten his grip on Cheat's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cheat has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Philips is really squeezing tight and eventually Cheat passes out! Philips breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
