Perez comes to the cage accompanied by Another One Bites The Dust. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poulter avoids the head kick by Perez.
We've been hearing reports that Perez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Perez takes the fight into the clinch. A body shot lands from Perez.
Poulter misses with the head strike.
Perez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Poulter throws a shot from downtown. Perez moves away and avoids it. Perez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Perez clinches up with Poulter and pushes him back against the cage. Poulter throws a punch but it's blocked by Perez. Perez lands an uppercut. A frustrated look appears on Poulter's face as he tries to break the clinch. A short body shot lands from Perez as the two fighters clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poulter stops a takedown attempt from Perez.
Poulter swings wildly with an uppercut but Perez uses good head movement to avoid it. Perez leaning his opponent against the cage. Perez lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in half guard, Perez seems content to control. Perez looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Poulter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Perez connects with a nice short shot to Poulter's temple. Perez wants to control but Poulter is keeping him busy. Perez maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Poulter could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Perez has cracked it and Poulter is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Perez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anders lands with a cross. Face slips a jab from Anders. Face thows a left - swing and a miss! Face misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Anders.
Face changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Anders throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Anders lands with a right hand. Face throws a right and a left that both miss. Anders now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Anders misses with a wild body shot. Face fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Anders pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Face back to the cage. Anders follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Face throws a body shot but no joy. Anders tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Face slips under a jab. Anders looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Face is looking to wear down Anders with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Anders throws a poor cross that misses
and Face counters with a lovely shot to the body. Anders darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from Anders. Face throws a front kick aimed at Anders's knee but Anders avoids it well. Shit Face seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Face throws a right and a left that both miss. Face goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. It seemed like Anders was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Face throws a right hand that Anders ducks under and follows up with a left that Anders also avoids with ease. Face moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Anders throws a leg kick which misses Face's front leg but catches the back leg as Face tries to avoid it. Anders cracks Face with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Shit Face has been cut. Face swings for the body but Anders moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Face. A little feinted left hand from Face on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Anders scores with a leg kick.
Face throws a right hand that Anders ducks under and follows up with a left that Anders also avoids with ease. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Anders throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Face on the side of the head. Face takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Anders waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anders paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Anders tries a head kick but it misses.

Anders looks to land a left hand but Face moved out of range nicely. Anders misses with a looping left. Sloppy strikes from Anders. Those never looked like landing. Anders lands a jab. Anders throws a big counter head kick but Face avoids it with no problem. Anders slips a straight right by Face. Face throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Anders takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Face gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Anders. Anders just misses with a punch to the body.
Face appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Donk. Anders catches Face right on the button with a cross. Face throws a sloppy body shot

Face throws a series of punches but Anders moves out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anders looks to throw the jab but Face is out of range. Anders staying out of range there. A big left from Anders misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Face was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Nice uppercut there from Anders. Anders fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Face manages to avoid it. Anders scores with a jab to the jaw. Face misses with a jab, cross combination.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Face lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Anders has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Anders and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anders misses with a straight right. Face moves out of range as Anders strikes. Anders throws a looping overhand right but Face ducks down to avoid it. Anders throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Anders gets in close and instigates a clinch. Face misses with a hook from the clinch. Face is trying to maintain a safe position but Anders gets an underhook and turns Face into the cage. Anders blocks a body shot from Face. Face trying to control the position but instead, Anders has worked for underhooks and has pushed Face into the cage. A short right from Face. Face misses with some punches.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Face. Face looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Face throws a punch but it's blocked by Anders. Face lands with a left to the head. Face avoiding damage.
Anders's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shit Face is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Face throws a hook to the side of Anders's head but Anders sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Face takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Face takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Anders lands with a right hand. A lazy body kick from Face and Anders counters with a nice double leg into side control. Face won't be happy with that. Face throws Anders to one side and escapes! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Anders walks into a jab. Anders misses with a body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anders on the wrong end of a nice hook. Face walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Anders waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Face. Face seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. A looping hook to the body misses from Anders. Face does a little dance to reset his feet. Face walks into a jab. Face slips a jab and a cross from Anders.
The fight stays on the outside here - Anders looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Face motions for Anders to come forward. Face throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Face just misses with a punch to the body.
Anders throws a low kick but Face avoids it. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anders digs a good hook to Face's body.
Face rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anders moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Face uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Anders. Face looks to score with a jab to the body but Anders is just out of range. Anders with the counter takedown but Face avoids it easily. Face lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Anders does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Face is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Anders's half guard. Anders tries to roll over but Face keeps him under control. Anders takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Face missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Anders regains full guard. Nicely done. Face connects with a couple of short punches. Face working some strikes from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anders wants to sweep but no luck. Anders trying to keep a closed guard but Face is proving a slippery customer.
Face postures up in Anders's guard and throws a big left but Anders blocks it. Anders is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Shit Face overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Face throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Face throws a big elbow that misses. Face trying to control but Anders is working from the bottom. Shit Face has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Face pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Anders is keeping the position for now. Face missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Anders utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Face throws an elbow that misses. Anders uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Face's guard. Nice move by Anders! Face tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ingemar Anders is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Flannery takes a shot to the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cage creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Cage's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cage loads up on a big right hand but Flannery slips the punch. Cage misses with a double jab.
Flannery tries to counter with a takedown but Cage is quick to defend against it. Cage lunges at Flannery with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Flannery's hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big right from Cage misses. Cage cracks Flannery with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cage has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Flannery to stand back up!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Severn looking to sit in guard and control but Lombard gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lombard sitting in guard, not really doing much. Lombard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Severn is looking to stand up but Lombard isn't so interested in that idea. Severn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lombard is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Severn is adopting a defensive guard. Lombard slips nicely into half guard. Severn is looking to escape.
