Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grover Dowiyogo (ranked 3465 p4p, 436 weight class) and Steven Tauer (ranked 7931 p4p, 633 weight class). Dowiyogo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is another life - kano. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dowiyogo doesn't manage to clinch there - Tauer circles away.
Tauer loads up on a big right hand but Dowiyogo slips the punch.
Dowiyogo moves out of range as Tauer strikes.
Tauer avoids a kick to the body.

Dowiyogo closes the distance and pushes Tauer back into the cage.
Dowiyogo tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Dowiyogo with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

I was talking to Dowiyogo's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Tauer lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dowiyogo backwards.
Tauer lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Tauer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dowiyogos head.
Dowiyogo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tauer avoids it.
Dowiyogo is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tauer is defending well for now.
Tauer tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dowiyogo's elbow.

Dowiyogo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tauer is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dowiyogo to the mat. Dowiyogo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Dowiyogo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dowiyogo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Tauer is really squeezing tight and eventually Dowiyogo passes out! Tauer breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Vegas (ranked 4525 p4p, 449 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 2567 p4p, 302 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vegas might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ace Of Spades by Motorhead. The crowd seem to be enjoying Durden's choice of entrance music: The Dust Brothers - This Is Your Life. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
