The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dunham's guard. Dunham keeping moving, preventing Martin from controlling successfully. Martin is looking to pass into half guard but Dunham pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Dunham is in guard. Dunham wanted to stand there but Martin had control of the position. Martin wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Dunham is now in half guard. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dunham wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Martin has him pressed against the cage. Martin jumps guard but Dunham turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and White wants it to stay on the feet. A little jabbing left from White on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
