Vilenius feints a jab promting Shadow to slip. Vilenius then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shadow slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Vilenius jabs Shadow to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Shadow is breathing heavily.
Vilenius throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shadow stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Oooooh!!! Vilenius has knocked Shadow down with a huge combo! Vilenius steps away and waves a wobbly Shadow back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Shadow is rocked!

It looks like Chief Shadow has been cut.
Vilenius's coach down at BIGISLAND BIGGUNS WARRIOR TRAINING was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vilenius's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Oh Shadow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vilenius flashes Shadow a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Shadow's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Shadow crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Vilenius punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick throws the left hand but Dones avoids the punch easily.
Quick misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dones looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Dones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dones is working Quick over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Dones is in close to Quick's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Dones passes Quick's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Dones wants to take a breather but Quick is having none of it.
Dones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Quick with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Quick wants to get back to his feet.
Dones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dones working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Dones is trying to control. Quick wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Dones seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dones working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Dones lands with a punch from half guard.
Dones frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dones looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Quick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dones on the ground.
The referee warns Quick that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Dones breaks from Quick's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Oh Quick is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dones lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Quick! Dones sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Quick and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

A determined Bon Dones didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
