9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Grundmann! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Corey Mcgraugh! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grundmann takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Mcgraugh fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mcgraugh swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mcgraugh clinches with his opponent.
Grundmann wants a takedown but no success here.
Mcgraugh will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Grundmann up against the cage. Grundmann has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mcgraugh is trying to keep an underhook but Grundmann manages to get the takedown into half guard. Grundmann is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mcgraugh sees it coming and defends easily. Mcgraugh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grundmann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Grundmann trying to control the action but Mcgraugh is working from the bottom. Mcgraugh wants to get back to his feet.
Grundmann is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mcgraugh has managed to free his arm - good work. Grundmann is looking to take a break and control but Mcgraugh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grundmann is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Grundmann moves into full mount! Mcgraugh won't be happy about that! Grundmann wants to control the pace but Mcgraugh is squirming around nicely. Grundmann jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mcgraugh is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mcgraugh and Grundmann has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Mcgraugh is looking for a sweep. Grundmann has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mcgraugh is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Grundmann yanks on the arm and Mcgraugh is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Grundmann.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tate Jr shoots in looking for a takedown but Tate manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tate Jr's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tate misses with the combination.
Tate Jr is looking for a counter combo. Tate Jr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tate but Tate pushes him off and we're back to square one. Tate Jr moves into the clinch. Tate Jr stalling.
Tate is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tate Jr to keep the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tate Jr breaks from the clinch.
Tate Jr pushes Tate up against the cage in a clinch. Tate is trying to break the clinch but Tate Jr has him pressed against the cage. Tate should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Tate Jr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tate smiles and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tate gets tackled into the cage by Tate Jr. Tate Jr maintains the clinch. Tate taking a breather. Tate tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tate Jr just stands there and leans against the cage. Tate Jr has Tate pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tate manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Tate Jr slowing the pace effectively. A short right from Tate Jr. Tate Jr is trying to drag Tate to the mat but Tate just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Tate tries to pull guard but Tate Jr holds him up against the cage and eventually Tate drops back down to his feet.
Come on Tate Jr - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Tate Jr looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Tate Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Tate Jr stands up from guard. Let's bang! The fight moves into the clinch position. Tate Jr manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. This has been an exciting period of action! Tate Jr is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tate can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tate Jr keeping moving, preventing Tate from controlling successfully. Tate Jr throws his legs up looking for a submission but Tate uses it to pass to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tate Jr is pushing Tate 's head away, looking to escape. Tate manages to hold on to the position though. The referee asks Tate politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tate prefers to stall for the moment though. You can see the frustration on Tate Jr's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tate wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tate Jr keeps working. Tate Jr tries to improve position but can't. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tate tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tate has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Tate Jr manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tate defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tate Jr. Tate Jr gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tate is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tate Jr is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Tate to the mat. Tate regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tate Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tate preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tate Jr engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Tate Jr sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tate 's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tate Jr controlling the action here. Tate Jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tate can do to turn this around? Tate Jr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tate 's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tate Jr content to control rather than advance. Tate looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Tate is looking for a sweep. Tate Jr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Tate Jr landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Tate Jr is trying to work for a kimura but Tate is defending well.

Tate misses with a takedown and Tate Jr makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Tate Jr is controlling Tate 's posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A head kick by Tate Jr misses and Tate moves into the clinch. Stalling in the clinch from Tate Jr.
Tate pulls guard effortlessly. Tate Jr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Tate Jr wants to control from the top but Tate keeps moving. Tate Jr controlling from the top position. Tate Jr is looking to work some ground and pound but Tate has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tate Jr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Tate Jr has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A head kick misses from Tate Jr. The fight moves into the clinch position. Tate has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tate Jr avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tate Jr breaks the clinch.
