The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cape throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shah stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Shah looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Cape throws a head kick but Shah moves out of range.
Shah steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Cape.
Donk. Cape catches Shah right on the button with a cross.
An inside leg kick lands from Cape.
Cape looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cape moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Cape tests Shah's chin there with a solid looking shot.

A nice leg kick lands there from Cape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cape connects with a leg kick. Shah looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Shah has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cape finds it's way round the side to connect with Shah's head.
Cape stalks Shah and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shah's face. Shah staggers backwards, shaken.
Shah stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cape.

Shah is trying to pull guard but Cape turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Lucas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Soulburn sprawls well initially but Lucas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lucas wants to pass the guard but Soulburn is defending well.

Lucas is looking for a kimura but Soulburn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lucas to get the leverage.

Lucas is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Soulburn is just riding it out for now. Lucas eventually gives up the hold.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Soulburn's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
