3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benten Gogul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katsuro Sasaki! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sasaki throws out a powerful jab. Gogul could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sasaki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gogul is looking to clinch. A lazy left from Sasaki finds it's target. Sasaki misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gogul.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gogul. Gogul feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. This has been an exciting period of action! Sasaki keeping moving, preventing Gogul from controlling successfully. Sasaki tries to strike from the bottom.
Gogul trying to control but Sasaki is working from the bottom. Gogul trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gogul trying to control but Sasaki is working from the bottom. Sasaki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gogul is one step ahead there. Sasaki is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sasaki connects with a right hand. Gogul shakes it off. Sasaki throws a hook but Gogul avoids it easily. Katsuro Sasaki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sasaki jabs at Gogul's body. Gogul is breathing heavily. Gogul closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sasaki to the mat! Sasaki manages to get full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sasaki is trying to keep Gogul in close.
Gogul wants to get up but he can't break Sasaki's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Sasaki trying to keep a closed guard but Gogul is proving a slippery customer.
Sasaki pulls Gogul in to control the position. Sasaki looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sasaki might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gogul kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sasaki is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sasaki missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sasaki postures up in Gogul's guard and throws a big left but Gogul blocks it. Gogul wants to stand but Sasaki is controlling the position. Sasaki thows a big elbow that misses. Sasaki throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gogul works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sasaki missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gogul being controlled here, momentarily. Gogul has momentary wrist control but Sasaki slips an elbow through the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sasaki wants to control from the top but Gogul keeps moving. Sasaki throwing strikes from guard but Gogul blocks nicely. Sasaki forces his way into half guard. Sasaki thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gogul's head. Sasaki is thwarting Gogul's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sasaki is keen to just control but Gogul is a slippery customer. Sasaki is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Sasaki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sasaki dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Sasaki lands a big right hand that sends Gogul crashing to the mat! Sasaki stays standing though and waves Gogul back to his feet!
It looks like Benten Gogul has been cut. Sasaki lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Gogul falls backwards - clearly groggy! Sasaki dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell looks to land a combination but Takahara avoids it well. Takahara ducks under a wild hook from Liddell. Liddell looks to score with a jab to the body but Takahara is just out of range. Liddell misses with a two punch combination.
Nice takedown defense from Takahara. No joy for Liddell on that attempt. Takahara lands a big head kick that sends Liddell tumbling to the mat! Takahara takes a step backwards and waves Liddell back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Chuck Liddell has been cut. Liddell misses with a few strikes there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Takahara. That's going to slow Liddell down. Liddell takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Liddell is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takahara buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Crack! A monster head kick from Takahara and Liddell falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Takahara!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! wolf takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. wolf steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Legionarius. Legionarius looks to throw the jab but wolf is out of range. wolf displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Legionarius throws out the jab. wolf avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A big left from Legionarius misses. wolf showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Legionarius.
Legionarius throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
wolf tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Legionarius was well out of range. Poor timing from wolf. Legionarius checks a leg kick. wolf throws a head kick that half lands.
Alessio Legionarius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Legionarius lands a big uppercut and wolf crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but wolf looks OK. Legionarius waves wolf back to his feet!
wolf is rocked! Legionarius fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. wolf is still on wobbly legs! Can Legionarius finish him? wolf looks gassed! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Legionarius ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking wolf out cold! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krijic tries to land a leg kick but Sasaki saw it coming and moves away.
Krijic misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sasaki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Krijic as he jumps to the side. Krijic throws a leg kick but Sasaki sees it coming and moves out of range. Krijic throws a right and a left that both miss. Sasaki uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Krijic. Donk. Krijic catches Sasaki right on the button with a cross. Krijic pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sasaki is out of range and Krijic settles back down. Krijic throws a series of punches but Sasaki moves out of range. Sasaki ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sasaki takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Krijic lands a nice shot that snaps Sasaki's head back.
Krijic throws a right hand that Sasaki ducks under and follows up with a left that Sasaki also avoids with ease. Sasaki closes the distance and clinches up with Krijic, looking for a takedown. Sasaki pushes Krijic against the cage but Krijic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Krijic swinging wildly here.
Sasaki looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Krijic!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sasaki unloading with bombs! Krijic's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Sasaki trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Krijic really wants to buck Sasaki off and get back to his feet. Sasaki looking to finish with strikes here!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Krijic is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Krijic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sasaki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sasaki takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Krijic misses with an uppercut. Sasaki saw that one coming. Sasaki shoots in for a takedown but Krijic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Krijic dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Krijic swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Donk. Krijic catches Sasaki right on the button with a cross. Fogerty throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hecu Hasu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Diaz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carter but Carter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Diaz shoots in but no luck this time. Diaz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diaz somewhat. Calvin Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Diaz. Diaz throws a predictable looking body shot
and Carter counters with a one-two to the body. Diaz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
