The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Banks lands a jab-cross combination. Greatest jabbing away but nothing is landing. Banks appears to be looking for a big counter. A big left from Greatest misses. Banks misses with a jab, cross combination.
Banks throws a body shot but no joy. Banks tries to bum rush Greatest with a series of wild strikes but Greatest uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Greatest swings widly with a right hand
and Banks counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sloppy strikes from Banks. Those never looked like landing. Banks ducks under a wild hook from Greatest. It looked like Banks was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Greatest throws an overhand right that lands on Banks's shoulder, as Banks tries to avoid the shot. Banks swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Greatest misses with a body kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Greatest misses with a looping right.

Banks moves out of range as Greatest strikes. Banks seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Banks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Greatest moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Carlton Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Greatest looks to land a combination but Banks avoids it well. Banks moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Banks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Banks takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Carlton Banks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Greatest shoots in looking for a takedown but Banks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Greatest's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Banks swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Banks falls off balance throwing a combination
and Greatest counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Banks looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greatest defending well as Banks loads up on a big left hand. Greatest throws a lazy uppercut
and Banks counters with a left to the body. Banks takes one to the chin there. A looping hook to the body misses from Greatest. Banks does a little dance to reset his feet. Banks was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Banks uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Greatest. Banks cracks a nice hook into Greatest's ribs. Banks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Greatest changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Banks tries to avoid it but Greatest manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Banks to the ground. Banks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Greatest throws a shot from downtown. Banks moves away and avoids it. Greatest scores with the left hand. Banks knows he should have avoided that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Greatest connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Banks's hands. Banks connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Banks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Banks appears to be looking for a big counter. Banks moves out of range as Greatest strikes. Banks uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Greatest. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Greatest throws a big shot that misses. Banks is working the combinations to good effect here. Greatest avoids a punch combination nicely.

Greatest might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Banks cracks a nice hook into Greatest's ribs. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Greatest might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Banks has got the better of the exchanges. Banks throws a predictable looking body shot
and Greatest counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Banks is looking to wear down Greatest with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Banks throws a right hand that Greatest ducks under and follows up with a left that Greatest also avoids with ease. A big left from Greatest misses. Jab from Greatest. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Banks moves away from the strike by Greatest. Banks has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Banks misses with a wild combination.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carlton Banks will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Banks counters with a nice uppercut. Danga de danga de dang - Banks scores with a four punch combination! Banks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Greatest circles away quickly and effectively. Greatest shoots for a double leg takedown but Banks sprawls well. He's pushed Greatest's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Banks moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Banks walks into a jab. Greatest lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Greatest tries to clinch but Banks is having none of it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Banks connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Banks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Banks has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Greatest finds it's way round the side to connect with Banks's head. Greatest closes the distance and clinches. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Greatest. Greatest swings wildly with an uppercut but Banks uses good head movement to avoid it. Banks wants to get back to striking at distance but Greatest won't allow it.
Banks tries to circle away but Greatest has him pinned against the cage. Greatest misses with an elbow over the top. Banks blocking some punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Greatest. Banks tries to break the clinch but Greatest is controlling the position. Greatest keeps control of Banks as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Banks blocks an uppercut.

Cricket throws a head kick that misses. Torito is looking for a counter combo. Cricket throws a sloppy head kick and Torito moves out of range easily. Cricket shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Torito napping and manages to drive through into side control! Torito throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Torito has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Spartans Gym in the buildup to the fight. Torito gets caught flat footed, as Cricket shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Torito tries to land a sweep but no joy. Torito has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Torito manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cricket manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Torito has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Torito stands up over Cricket, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Torito is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Torito distracts Cricket with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Torito lands a couple of digs. Torito working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Cricket has his foot on Torito's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Torito works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Torito is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Torito scoring with punches to the head and body. Torito scoring with punches to the head and body. Cricket looking to hit a scissor sweep but Torito is one step ahead there. Torito works a leg free and moves into half guard. Torito landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Torito winds up and cracks Cricket with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Cricket is rocked! Cricket wants to control but Torito passes into side.
Cricket is still in real trouble! Can Torito finish him? Torito remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Torito working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Cricket seems to have recovered his senses. Torito lands a decent elbow from side control. Torito is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Cricket is trying to escape and Torito transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Cricket is forced to tap! Nice work there by Torito! Very nice indeed!
