Lafitte remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Lafitte is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Brazilian Elite Team that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Halo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lafitte swivels though and keeps the full guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Halo working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lafitte is on top in guard.

Halo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lafitte should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Halo has tightened it up now! Lafitte should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
