2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shaka Johnson! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grady throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson. Tom Grady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grady blocks a jab. Johnson checks a leg kick nicely. Johnson throws out a counter right but Grady avoids it with no problem. Grady throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Johnson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Grady wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Grady tests Johnson's chin there with a solid looking shot. A head kick misses from Grady. Johnson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Grady rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Grady tries to throw a body punch but Johnson avoids it by throwing Grady back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson wants a takedown but no success here.

Grady breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Grady lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Grady is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grady controls the position. You can see the frustration on Johnson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Candy Van dominated that round. That's time! Biddings's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Biddings moves to clinch but Van breaks away and Van counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Van drives through with a takedown into guard. Biddings working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Van doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Van manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Biddings has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Van is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Biddings. Biddings is trying to control Van's posture but Van avoids it. Van is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Biddings is trying to escape and Van transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Biddings is forced to tap! Nice work there by Van! Very nice indeed!

Proudmoore lands with a right hand. Hall Jr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Proudmoore moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A slow jab from Proudmoore misses its intended target. Proudmoore throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hall Jr was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Hall Jr looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A slapping leg kick lands for Hall Jr.
A lazy left from Proudmoore finds it's target. Hall Jr misses with a body shot.
Hall Jr is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Proudmoore. Hall Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hall Jr needs to keep his hands up - Proudmoore had a free shot at his head there.
Hall Jr is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hall Jr misses with a straight left. Proudmoore fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hall Jr looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Proudmoore's coach down at Grounders Foundation was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Proudmoore's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Hall Jr catches Proudmoore with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Hall Jr thows a left - swing and a miss! Hall Jr moves forwards but Proudmoore connects with a nice, crisp jab. Oh Hall Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. Proudmoore darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Hall Jr's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Proudmoore before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jacob Proudmoore! Jacob Proudmoore decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. The defeated Urijah Hall Jr had this to say: 'I lost the battle, but won the war. Fuck that guy and his whole team, bunch of chumps...'.

Arroyo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Jugger Naut has been cut. A decent looking body kick lands there for Arroyo.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Naut has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Arroyo throws a combination that misses and Naut counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Naut. Naut tries to work over Arroyo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Arroyo has had enough of the clinch but Naut keeps him there for the moment. Naut lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Arroyo or not. Naut wants to break the clinch but can't.
Arroyo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Arroyo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Naut. Naut misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Arroyo misses with a few strikes there.
Arroyo is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Naut pushes Arroyo up against the cage in a clinch. Arroyo wants to get back to striking at distance but Naut won't allow it.
Naut gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Naut accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Arroyo is looking for a triangle here but Naut uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Naut in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Naut working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Naut working away. Naut moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Arroyo looking for a sweep but Naut has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Naut jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Arroyo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Arroyo and Naut has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Arroyo stops Naut from passing to mount. Arroyo tries to escape but Naut is in control. Naut wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arroyo keeps working.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Naut thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Arroyo pushes Naut away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Naut gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Naut wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arroyo keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arroyo wants to get back to his feet but Naut drags him back down. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Arroyo wants to control but Naut postures up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Naut blocks a head kick by Arroyo.
Naut closes the distance and clinches. Arroyo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Naut has him pressed against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This has been an exciting period of action! Naut shoots in and bounces Arroyo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jugger Naut has got the better of the ground game so far. Naut pushing down on Arroyo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Naut content to control rather than advance.

Naut works to advance to full mount. Arroyo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Arroyo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Arroyo wants to hold on but Naut pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Naut looking to control but Arroyo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Arroyo wants to control but Naut is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arroyo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Naut on the ground. Naut controlling his opponent. Arroyo is trying to stand. Arroyo is in a horrible position here. Naut smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

A low kick from Arroyo is predictable there and Naut counters with a nice double leg into side control. Arroyo won't be happy with that. Arroyo throws Naut to one side and escapes! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Arroyo throws a head kick but Naut moves out of range.
Alex Arroyo is winning the standup battle so far. Naut clinches up against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Arroyo tries to break free but Naut pushes him back against the cage. Naut is struggling to control the position. Arroyo is looking to break free of the clinch but Naut has double underhooks. Arroyo is trying to break the clinch but Naut is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Naut - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Arroyo tries to lock up and control but Naut gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Naut with good strikes from the mount here! Arroyo is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Naut unloading with bombs! Naut content just to control the position here. Naut landing punches. Naut controlling from the full mount. Naut looking to control but Arroyo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Arroyo tries to hold on but Naut postures up. Alex Arroyo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jugger Naut is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Candy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ryan throws out the jab. Ryan tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Candy is able to avoid easily. Ryan looks to throw the jab but Candy is out of range. Candy looks like he wants to counter punch here. Nice body punch from Ryan. Candy misses with a hook. Ryan ducked under it nicely. Ryan is looking to slow Candy down with leg kicks. Ryan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A decent looking cross lands there for Ryan. and Steel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Watson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Steel. Watson throws a poor cross that misses
and Steel counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Watson misses with a body shot.
Watson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Steel misses with a hook. Watson ducked under it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Watson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Watson has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Steel moves out of range of the strikes. Steel was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Steel lands a jab to the nose. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steel misses the shot to the body. Watson throws out a counter right but Steel avoids it with no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watson misses with a right hand and Steel counters with a nice uppercut. Jack Steel is winning the standup battle so far. Steel avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Steel stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Watson in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Steel misses with a low kick as Watson jumps back. A little jabbing left from Watson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Watson swings widly with a right hand
and Steel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Watson thinking. Steel digs a good body shot into Watson's ribs. A cross from Steel lands. Steel lands a jab to the head.
Watson gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Watson tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Steel is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Watson buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Watson!! Watson is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Steel throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sebastian Bertrand! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunter Smith! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bertrand connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Hunter Smith has been cut. Bertrand throws a body shot but no joy. Smith dives in and grabs Bertrand's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bertrand pushes down on Smith's head and hops out. Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Bertrand misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming. Bertrand misses with a looping left. Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bertrand sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sebastian Bertrand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hunter Smith. Smith gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bertrand counters with a stiff right hand. Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A jab from Bertrand does it's job there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for Bertrand, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That has opened up Hunter Smith's cut even more. A punch lands to the side of Smith 's head but he takes it in his stride. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bertrand lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

That's one minute gone in the round. Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bertrand pinned against the cage. Bertrand gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bertrand scores with a jab. Smith acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The cut above Hunter Smith's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Smith shoots and misses and Bertrand counters with a crisp right hand that drops Smith! Bertrand lets Smith back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Bertrand is just out of range. Bertrand has been working on his boxing with his coaches at JAG Training Grounds [$600/week] in the buildup to the fight. Nice defenses there by Smith. Bertrand drops Smith with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Smith looks back up at him and smiles so Bertrand waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Smith is rocked!
Hunter Smith's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hunter Smith's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
