I think Silva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Desabafo - Marcelo D2. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gutt pushes Silva away with a front kick. Silva tries to bum rush Gutt with a series of wild strikes but Gutt uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gutt pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Silva throws a right and a left that Gutt avoids nicely. Silva checks the leg kick nicely there.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt. Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss. Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two. Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gutt's guard. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Gutt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gutt is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Silva trying to control but Gutt is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gutt turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Silva is breathing heavily. Silva takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Gutt feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Silva sprawling to the canvas! Silva rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gutt finish him?!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fertit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bob tries to avoid it but Fertit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bob to the ground. Bob escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fertit shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bob manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Fertit in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bob holds on and takes a little breather. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fertit trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fertit loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fertit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fertit throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fertit won't allow Bob to sweep him here. Fertit has a takedown stuffed. Fertit feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bob wants to sweep here but Fertit controlling him for the moment. Fertit tries to free his leg and advance position but Bob is retaining full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelso loads up on a big right hand but Mithrandir slips the punch. Kelso tries to clinch but Mithrandir moves out of range. Mithrandir tries to clinch but Kelso moves away and Kelso connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Mithrandir misses with a takedown attempt and Kelso counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mithrandir won't be happy with that. Mithrandir is letting Kelso control him for a moment. Kelso throwing strikes but Mithrandir manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Kelso wants to control but Mithrandir postures up. Kelso tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kelso is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mithrandir's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Kelso is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mithrandir's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mithrandir's back! Kelso trying to control momentarily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Valcone misses. Souza gets caught flat footed, as Valcone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Souza has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Valcone off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Souza thows a body shot but no joy. Portokalov lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Portokalov celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
