The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rammenstein lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Crusher tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rammenstein sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Crusher somewhat.
Rammenstein pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rammenstein staying out of range there.
Rammenstein tries to counter with a clinch but Crusher shakes him off and moves away.
Crusher looks to land a right hand but Rammenstein moved out of range.
Crusher shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rammenstein is trying to defend but Crusher finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Rammenstein manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Crusher keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

It looked like Masuta was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Masuta counters with a crisp right hand that drops Tonu! Masuta lets Tonu back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Myers comes into the arena with The Soldier's Song blaring out of the sound system. Wagner has chosen Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer as his entrance music. Lachlan Myers had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 148.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Lachlan Myers looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.
