We've been informed that Vuori has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Vuori is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Thorvaldsson throws a hook to the side of Jacks's head but Jacks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A nice side step and Thorvaldsson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Jacks shoots in for a takedown but Thorvaldsson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jacks throws a leg kick but Thorvaldsson sees it coming and moves out of range.
It seemed like Thorvaldsson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Jacks shoots in looking for a takedown but Thorvaldsson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jacks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jacks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
