1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Distant Thunder! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thunder throws a nice looking combination but Berchales bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Thunder moves into range and connects with a jab. Berchales throws a shot from downtown. Thunder moves away and avoids it. Berchales avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Berchales throws an overhand right that lands on Thunder's shoulder, as Thunder tries to avoid the shot. Thunder defending well as Berchales loads up on a big left hand. Berchales definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Berchales throws a lazy right hand but Thunder sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Thunder instigates a clinch. Berchales swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A right handed body shot lands from Thunder.
A frustrated look appears on Berchales's face as he tries to break the clinch. Thunder keeps control of Berchales as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Thunder scores with a nice hook to the head. Berchales tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Berchales throws a head punch that misses. Berchales takes an elbow to the forehead. Thunder prevents Berchales from breaking the clinch. Thunder pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Berchales displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Thunder dodges the punch combination from Berchales.
Arturo Berchales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Berchales rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thunder moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Thunder throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

and Thunder counters with a nice low kick that buckles Berchales's knee momentarily. Berchales displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thunder throws out the jab. A punch combination from Berchales misses. Berchales rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Thunder connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thunder throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Berchales missing with a left hand there. Thunder was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Thunder shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Berchales looks to throw the jab but Thunder is out of range. Berchales lands a jab-cross combination. Berchales is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Berchales misses with a series of wild punches.

Berchales throws a right and a left that Thunder avoids nicely. Thunder looks like he wants to counter punch here. Berchales throws a looping overhand right but Thunder ducks down to avoid it. Berchales throws a poor cross that misses
and Thunder counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Thunder seems to have recovered his senses. Thunder slips under a jab. Thunder misses with the combination.

Berchales throws a series of punches but Thunder avoids them all with ease. Berchales slips under a jab. Thunder throws a big shot that misses. Berchales tries to move into range but Thunder moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Berchales loads up on a big right hand but Thunder slips the punch. Thunder throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Berchales lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thunder circles away quickly and effectively. Berchales misses with an uppercut. Thunder saw that one coming. Good shot there by Thunder. Berchales throws a hook to the side of Thunder's head but Thunder sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Berchales looks to land a combination but Thunder avoids it well. Thunder looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Berchales misses with a lunging right hand
and Thunder counters with an inside leg kick. Thunder swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Berchales.
Berchales is rocked! Berchales gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Thunder gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Berchales is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Javier misses with a head kick.
We've been informed that Vuori has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Vuori is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nice shot by Vuori. Javier tries a head kick but it misses.
Javier misses with a hook. Vuori ducked under it nicely. Vuori blocks a head kick by Javier.
Vuori fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Javier manages to avoid it. Vuori takes a swing at Javier's ribcage but misses. Javier misses the shot to the body. Javier throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Javier on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Vuori thuds his right hand into Javier's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Nice defenses there by Javier. Javier throws a sloppy body shot
and Vuori cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Javier connects with a crisp jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Javier throws a shot from downtown. Vuori moves away and avoids it. Javier tries a head kick but it misses.
Javier walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Vuori checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Vuori is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Vuori moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Vuori scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Javier throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vuori feints with a jab and clips Javier right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Javier is sent crashing into the canvas and Vuori leaps in for the kill! Javier tries to get to his feet but Vuori is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Javier is in need of a savior and steps in!

Phil has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stiglitz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stiglitz stopping the sweep attempt from Phil. Stiglitz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Phil bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stiglitz's guard. Stiglitz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Phil is one step ahead there. Stiglitz has control of Phil's left arm, preventing Phil from doing any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Phil looking to sit in guard and control but Stiglitz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Phil wants to sweep here but Stiglitz controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Phil tries to lock up and control but Stiglitz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phil prevents a body shot from Stiglitz. Stiglitz tries to work over Phil's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Stiglitz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Phil can do to turn this around?
That's one minute gone in the round. Stiglitz drops Phil onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Phil is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Vuce moves into range and clinches up with FiereFist. Vuce has dropped down and is working for a takedown. FiereFist is trying to keep an underhook but Vuce manages to get the takedown into half guard. Vuce decides to return to a standing position.

We've heard reports from his gym mates at Death Valley Training Facility that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Vuce seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down FiereFist for as long as he can get away with. Vuce decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on FiereFist, up you get! Vuce checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. FiereFist throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
This has been an exciting period of action! Vuce stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vuce wants it to stay on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leo Vuce dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
FiereFist takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Vuce takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

FiereFist was covering up waiting for the punch and Vuce finishes the takedown easily into guard. Vuce stays in close to FiereFist's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. FiereFist is working an open guard so Vuce takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Vuce scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. FiereFist is breathing heavily. Well, if Vuce is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacks uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thorvaldsson. Thorvaldsson throws a hook to the side of Jacks's head but Jacks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jacks misses with a jab, cross combination.
A nice side step and Thorvaldsson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Jacks shoots in for a takedown but Thorvaldsson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jacks throws a leg kick but Thorvaldsson sees it coming and moves out of range. It seemed like Thorvaldsson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Jacks throws a leg kick and Thorvaldsson counters with a right hand to the body. Thorvaldsson misses with a hook. Jacks moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Thorvaldsson digs a good body shot into Jacks's ribs. Jacks shoots in looking for a takedown but Thorvaldsson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jacks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jacks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
