The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pilat moves into range and clinches up with Dalton. Pilat is trying to stall.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dalton moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Dalton gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pilat is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Deeds no doubt looking to push for a finish! Oh Shmakov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Deeds misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shmakov seems to have got his legs back now. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Deeds connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Shmakov onto his butt! Shmakov bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dirty Deeds will get the nod in that round, having scored multiple knockdowns. The cut man is working on Vladmir Shmakov's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
