The bell rings for round one and we are underway! May shoots in looking for a takedown but Snyder manages to keep the fight standing, pushing May's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. May throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Snyder's waist but Snyder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing May off to one side. Snyder connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Snyder takes the fight into the clinch. May tries to pull guard but Snyder holds him up against the cage and eventually May drops back down to his feet.
Wesley Snyder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James May. Snyder pulls guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. May would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. May thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. May trying to control the position from guard on top but Snyder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. May slips nicely into half guard. Snyder tries to get to full guard but May has control of the leg.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tagirbekov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cain under the eye. Tagirbekov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Cain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Good shot there by Tagirbekov. Tagirbekov closes the distance and clinches. Tagirbekov is trying to pull guard but Cain turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Cain is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Tagirbekov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Tagirbekov catches Cain with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Tagirbekov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cain stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Tagirbekov just misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cain is sitting in close to Tagirbekov's body. Tagirbekov has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cain is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cain is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Tagirbekov.

Le Phat looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Le Phat misses the shot to the body. Le Phat blocks a head kick by Peterson.
Horrible takedown attempt by Peterson or perhaps it was just good defense by Le Phat, which made it look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson throws a push kick but Le Phat slaps the foot to one side. Peterson clinches with his opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Cypher misses the target. Trigger lands a left and a right that send Cypher crashing to the mat, dazed. Trigger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Kriss Cypher has been cut. Trigger closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Cypher out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Maynard misses the jab. We've been informed that Yusuke has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Maynard misses with an uppercut. Yusuke misses with a body kick. Maynard swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Yusuke throws a lazy uppercut
and Maynard counters with a good, hard body kick but Yusuke shrugs it off. Maynard looks to land a left hand but Yusuke moved out of range nicely. Maynard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yusuke is fending him off so far but Maynard persists. Nope, Yusuke circles away and we're back to standing. Yusuke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maynard manages to avoid it. Yusuke keeping moving, preventing Maynard from controlling successfully. Yusuke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Maynard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Maynard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Yusuke is on top in guard.

Not much technique there but it did the business. Good standup being displayed there by Yusuke as he connects with a hook.
