0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Hunter! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Josefi misses with a few strikes there.
Hunter fails in his attempt to clinch. Hunter swats away the attempt to clinch by Josefi. Horrible takedown attempt by Josefi or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunter, which made it look bad. Josefi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hunter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Josefi shoots for a double leg takedown but Hunter sprawls well. He's pushed Josefi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Josefi. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter closes the distance and clinches up with Josefi, looking for a takedown. Hunter pushes Josefi against the cage but Josefi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hunter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hunter takes the fight into the clinch. Josefi is looking for a takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter tries to bum rush Josefi with a series of wild strikes but Josefi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Josefi changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Hunter misses with a head kick.
Josefi appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Hunter shoots in for a double leg but Josefi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Josefi fails with a takedown attempt. Josefi connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Josefi moves into the clinch. Josefi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hunter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Josefi tries to pull guard but Hunter holds him up against the cage and eventually Josefi drops back down to his feet.

Josefi darts in looking for a takedown but Hunter gets double underhooks and turns Josefi into the cage. Hunter gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hunter tries to circle away but Josefi has him pinned against the cage. Hunter jumps guard but Josefi stands there with Hunter around his waist. Hunter gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hunter can't fight it off and eventually Josefi manages to take the fight to the floor. Hunter looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hunter looking for a sweep. Not yet Hunter, not yet. Hunter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hunter prevents Josefi from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Josefi gets full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Josefi has a closed guard, preventing Hunter from standing up. Josefi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josefi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hunter manages to escape and get back to his feet! Josefi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hunter manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Josefi keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Josefi drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Josefi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hunter after a bit of a struggle. Hunter jumps into guard, dragging Josefi to the mat.

Hunter has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hunter stands up from Josefi's guard - Hunter perhaps looking for a knockout. Hunter shoots in but Josefi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Josefi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hunter defends it nicely. Hunter not allowing Josefi to control his hands. Hunter misses with an elbow to the head. Hunter tries to get the hooks in deep but Josefi pushed the leg off. Hunter is not going to allow Josefi to sit and survive in this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter missing with strikes from the back. Josefi prevents Hunter from getting a body triangle. Josefi is in a bad position with Hunter working for a choke. Josefi manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment. Josefi looking to pass the guard. Josefi forces his way into half guard. Sam Hunter has got the better of the ground game so far. Hunter is holding on to half guard well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Hunter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Josefi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hunter can't do much from the bottom here. Josefi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunter keeps working. Josefi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hunter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Josefi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Josefi trying to control the action but Hunter is working from the bottom. Josefi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hunter rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Josefi's guard! Nice work there by Hunter! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter trying to control the position from guard on top but Josefi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Josefi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Josefi tries to get out of the position. Josefi is looking to stand up but Hunter isn't so interested in that idea. Josefi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hunter controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hunter postures up in Josefi's guard and throws a big left but Josefi blocks it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waddell takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Severini scores with a hook to the body. Waddell takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Waddell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Severini is fending him off so far but Waddell persists. Nope, Severini circles away and we're back to standing. Severini throwing a counter right hand but Waddell manages to avoid it. Severini tests Waddell's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nice shot by Severini. Severini throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Waddell tumbling to the canvas!
Waddell is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Severini trying to control the position from guard on top but Waddell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Severini sitting in guard, not really doing much. Severini loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Severini postures up in Waddell's guard and throws a big left but Waddell blocks it. Severini trying to control but Waddell is working from the bottom.

Severini has his hands on Waddell's head, controlling the position. Waddell prevents Severini from getting back to his feet. Severini keeping moving, preventing Waddell from controlling successfully. Waddell stopping the sweep attempt from Severini. Waddell trying to control the position from guard on top but Severini is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Severini looking to hit a scissor sweep but Waddell is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Severini is working hard here to advance position. Severini looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Severini on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Severini tries to get out of the position. Waddell won't allow Severini to sweep him here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Waddell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Waddell gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Severini takes a swing at Waddell's ribcage but misses. Waddell unleashes a big counter combination but Severini bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Severini is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Severini throws a body shot but no joy. A jab from Severini finds it's way through Waddell's defenses. Severini throws a hook to the side of Waddell's head but Waddell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Waddell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Severini.
Nice cross by Severini. Dom Severini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Severini bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Waddell! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Waddell is still in real trouble! Can Severini finish him? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Waddell is looking to stand up but Severini isn't so interested in that idea. Waddell seems to have recovered his senses. Severini working some strikes from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Severini arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Waddell's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dom Severini! An out of breath Dom Severini thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

Fiaz is looking for a kimura but Krakowski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fiaz to get the leverage. Krakowski controlling the position well. Krakowski is not content to let Fiaz control the position. Krakowski wants to control but Fiaz is keeping busy.
Krakowski is pressing down on Fiaz's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Krakowski has his feet on Fiaz's thighs here. He's pushed Fiaz off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Fiaz screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yates shoots in and bounces Dell Palmer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dell Palmer working a defensive guard here.
Dell Palmer has control of Yates's left arm, preventing Yates from doing any damage. Yates with a flurry of punches that miss. Dell Palmer has his foot on Yates's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yates works his way back into a safe position though. Yates might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dell Palmer working for a triangle but Yates defends it easily.
Dell Palmer pushes a forearm under Yates's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Yates is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dillinger keeps the fight on the outside. Dillinger definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dillinger moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Dillinger stuffs the takedown. Dillinger stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dillinger wants it to stay on the feet. Elder tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dillinger comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jab from Dillinger. Left hook, right uppercut from Dillinger. Dillinger scores with a one two! Elder had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Elder throws a leg kick but Dillinger checks it. Elder fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nate Dillinger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Elder. The fighters circling - Elder throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Elder shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dillinger defends it nicely.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dillinger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dillinger attempts a counter takedown but Elder avoids it well and moves away. Dillinger scores with a sloppy right hand. Elder should have avoided that one. Elder moves in looking to clinch but Dillinger pushes him off. Dillinger wants to slow Elder down by chopping away at his legs. No joy there for Dillinger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Elder goes for a double leg but Dillinger avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dillinger continues to drive forward. Dillinger misses with the combination.

Hard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mek's head. Hard decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Mek circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hard has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mek is landing a low percentage of strikes. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spriggins throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lothbrok counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Spriggins! Spriggins is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lothbrok connects with a decent elbow. Lothbrok postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Lothbrok happy to just control the position for now. Lothbrok is trying to get an arm triangle but Spriggins is defending well. Lothbrok in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The referee asks Lothbrok politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lothbrok prefers to stall for the moment though. Spriggins defending against the ground and pound.

Lothbrok has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. It looks like Lothbrok might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Spriggins is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lothbrok has just dragged him back down to the mat. Spriggins being controlled for a moment. Spriggins takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Spriggins tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lothbrok cranks the arm and Spriggins screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Spriggins, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Castilano misses with a hook. Ranger ducked under it nicely. Ranger is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Castilano with a body shot. Castilano jabs Ranger right on the nose. Ranger blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Derrick Ranger has been cut. Castilano definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Castilano cracks Ranger with a good jab. Castilano lands a nice hook to Ranger's body. Ranger takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Castilano loads up on a big right hand but Ranger slips the punch. Ranger drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Castilano defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ranger has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. and Ranger counters with a single leg into guard. Castilano didn't expect that. Castilano has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ranger has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Ranger fails to pull guard.

That has opened up Derrick Ranger's cut even more. A short left from Castilano. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Castilano creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Castilano lands an elbow inside. Castilano scores with an uppercut up the middle.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ranger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ranger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ranger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ranger throwing strikes from guard but Castilano blocks nicely. Ranger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ranger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Castilano is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ranger is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Castilano is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Castilano has escaped and now he's on top! Ranger being controlled here, momentarily. Ranger pulls Castilano in close to his closed guard and prevents Castilano from doing any damage or advancing position.
