If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Borgia is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Bon throws a nice looking combination but Mendez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bon lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Leo Mendez has been cut.
Mendez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Bon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bon has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Power Wrestling Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Mendez throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Bon to counter with a crisp jab.
Bon connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Mendez! He's out on his feet! Bon rushes in and drops Mendez with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Frank, as that shot connected.

and Frank scores with a counter punch that sends Kenneth to the canvas! Frank smells blood - he's punishing Kenneth with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Kenneth has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas shoots for a double leg takedown but Hanks sprawls well. He's pushed Douglas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A nice side step and Hanks releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hanks has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Douglas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hanks tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Douglas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hanks should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Douglas dives in and scores a takedown into Hanks's guard.
Hanks is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Douglas dives into side control.
Hanks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Douglas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.


Douglas has an Americana. Hanks didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Douglas is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Douglas hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
