Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isaac Lane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Prison! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lane slaps away a takedown attempt from Prison, before circling back to the center of the mat. Prison fails with a takedown attempt. Lane shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Prison's guard. Lane slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Prison on the ground. Prison taking punishment in the form of punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lane trying to control the position but Prison is working away. Lane lands some shots froms side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prison is looking for a sweep. Prison sneaks back into half guard. Prison regains full guard. Nicely done. Prison keeping full guard, as Lane tries to pass. Prison not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lane trying to stand up but can't free himself from Prison's guard. Lane wants to control from the top but Prison keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Prison working a defensive guard here.
Lane controls from within his opponent's guard. Prison wants to sweep but no luck. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lane missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Prison gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Isaac Lane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Prison.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lane gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Lane leaning his opponent against the cage. Lane has clasped his hands together around Prison's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Lane grinds an elbow into Prison's temple. Prison is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Lane is looking to take a break and control but Prison is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Prison is trying to control Lane's posture but Lane avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lane is working Prison over with some ground and pound from side control. Prison manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lane's best efforts. Lane misses with a head shot. Prison uses the momentum to regain guard. Prison looking for a sweep. Not yet Prison, not yet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Prison is trying to control the position but Lane postures up. Lane looking to sit in guard and control but Prison gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lane is controlling Prison's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Isaac Lane dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Prison wants to clinch up but Lane keeps it at a distance. Lane clinches up against the cage. Lane tries to pull guard but Prison won't allow it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Lane stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Lane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lane moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lane closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Prison quickly recovers to half guard. Prison has one foot on Lane's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Lane throws a right and a left that Prison avoids nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prison shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lane defends it nicely. Prison is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lane stuffs the takedown. Lane tries to score with a low kick but Prison moves his leg out of the way. Lane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Prison kicks off Lane and gets to his feet. Lane gets caught flat footed, as Prison shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Lane is looking to stand back up but Prison counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lane. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Prison trying to pass the guard but Lane defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prison sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lane defending well though. Prison is figuring out what he wants to do next. Prison trying to control the action but Lane is working from the bottom. Prison works his way into side control. Lane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lane tries to get out of the position. Prison works to advance to full mount. Lane defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Prison thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lane is squirming around, avoiding Prison's attempts to control the action. Prison stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Prison shoots in looking for a takedown. Lane tries to sprawl out of it but Prison keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. As Prison tries to get set, Lane tries to push him back and clinch up but Prison manages to avoid the attempt. Isaac Lane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Prison. Prison tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lane swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Prison tries a head kick but it misses.
Lane closes the distance and pushes Prison back into the cage. Prison has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Prison wants a takedown but no success here.
Prison changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lane fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lane shoots in and bounces Prison off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Prison tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Scott Prison will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Prison closes the distance looking to clinch and Lane counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Prison! Prison manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Lane is staying active underneath Prison, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Prison missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Lane is looking to control Prison's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lane avoid being mounted? Prison seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lane working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Prison. Lane avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Prison is one step ahead there. Lane keeping moving, preventing Prison from controlling successfully. Prison is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Lane keeping full guard, as Prison tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Prison wants to control from the top but Lane keeps moving. Prison postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lane is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Prison, into his guard. Lane trying to control the position from guard on top but Prison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prison looking to control.
Lane trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Prison manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Prison works a leg free and moves into half guard. Prison throwing shots but Lane is blocking nicely. Prison wants to free his trapped foot but Lane is holding on for dear life with his legs. Lane wants to get back to his feet. Prison wants to work for an arm triangle but Lane is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Prison controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prison not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Prison throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Prison perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Scott Prison has got the better of the ground game so far. Prison stands up and beckons Lane to join him on the feet. Lane clinches up with Prison and pushes him back against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Prison jumps guard but Lane turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Prison wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
And that's the end of the fight! Scott Prison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Prison has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Prion! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spiezzzo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Prion tries to kick Spiezzzo off in order to stand up. Spiezzzo Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Spiezzzo looks up at the clock and then as Prion takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Spiezzzo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Prion takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Spiezzzo stands up and we're back to a striking position. Prion tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Prion displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Spiezzzo. Prion lands with a slapping head kick. Prion and Spiezzzo are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Prion throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Spiezzzo into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Prion knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santiago moves into the clinch. Santiago is leaning against Riley and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Santiago lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Santiago lands a left hand that snaps the head of Riley backwards. Santiago lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Santiago scores with a hook to the body. Riley is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Santiago to keep the fight standing. Riley is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Santiago pulls him back up using the underhooks. Santiago scores with an uppercut up the middle. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Santiago creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Santiago makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Riley is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Santiago throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rileys head. Riley is still on wobbly legs! Can Santiago finish him? A quick uppercut on the inside from Santiago. Santiago has Riley pressed against the cage, preventing Riley from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Santiago dips a shoulder and cracks Riley with a mighty uppercut! Riley falls back against the cage and Santiago unloads with a barrage of strikes! Riley is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Santiago screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roberto Santiago! In his post fight interview, Roberto Santiago started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lester gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Power controlling the pace. Lester moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Power sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Power stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lester swivels though and keeps the full guard. Power avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lester has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Power should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lester has tightened it up now! Power should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
