These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pablo Escobar! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! evans throws a head kick but Escobar moves out of range.
Escobar throws out a powerful jab. The fight stays on the outside here - evans looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Escobar lands with a straight right. evans didn't see that one coming. Escobar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Escobar is trying to control the action in half guard but evans is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. evans won't allow Escobar to pass to mount. evans wants to improve his position but Escobar is controlling well.
Escobar is keen to just control but evans is a slippery customer. Escobar stands up from half guard. Escobar darts in trying to clinch and evans counters with a shoot takedown. Escobar fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. evans trying to control the position from guard on top but Escobar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Escobar has a closed guard, preventing evans from standing up. Escobar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. evans manages to get himself to full guard.
Escobar slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Escobar trying to control but evans is working from the bottom. evans looking to hit a scissor sweep but Escobar is one step ahead there. evans has his foot on Escobar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Escobar works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Escobar postures up in evans's guard and throws a big left but evans blocks it. Escobar stops evans from standing up. evans has momentary wrist control but Escobar slips an elbow through the middle. Escobar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Escobar trying to control but evans is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Escobar gets a takedown into half guard. evans wants to improve his position but Escobar is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Escobar wants to take a breather but evans is having none of it. Escobar passes the guard and advances to mount! evans is in all sorts of trouble here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McFadden closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Anderson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Anderson is looking to escape. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McFadden in particular looking to stall. McFadden working over Anderson with some ground and pound. Anderson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. McFadden really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Anderson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Anderson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Anderson can do anything to dispel that myth. McFadden wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving. Anderson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McFadden puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. McFadden lands a nice short elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. McFadden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Anderson tries to kick McFadden off but McFadden keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Anderson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. McFadden stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. No luck with that takedown attempt from McFadden. McFadden shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McFadden showed some decent athleticism there. Anderson is not content to let McFadden control the position.

Anderson looks gassed! McFadden trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom. McFadden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard. McFadden wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving. McFadden sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Anderson's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McFadden wants to stand up but Anderson has a hold of him and won't allow it. McFadden content to control rather than advance. McFadden will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Anderson wants to improve his position but McFadden is controlling well.
Anderson is staying active underneath McFadden, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Anderson trying to control but McFadden postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McFadden is taking a breather. Anderson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Anderson tries to roll over but McFadden keeps him under control. Well, if McFadden is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John McFadden. Anderson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Anderson misses with an uppercut. Anderson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Anderson throws a lazy right hand but McFadden sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anderson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. McFadden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McFadden throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Anderson. McFadden clinches. Anderson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McFadden is keeping busy. Anderson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice defenses there by McFadden. McFadden fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. McFadden shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. McFadden drops his hands momentarily and Anderson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. John McFadden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fighters circling - Anderson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A big right from Anderson misses. McFadden fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John McFadden. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anderson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McFadden.

Anderson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Allan Anderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McFadden closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. McFadden pushes Anderson against the cage but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Anderson misses with an uppercut. McFadden saw that one coming. Allan Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McFadden shoots for a double leg takedown but Anderson sprawls well. He's pushed McFadden's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Anderson has had enough of the clinch but McFadden keeps him there for the moment. McFadden is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Anderson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of McFaddens head. Anderson scores with a shoulder strike.

Allan Anderson seems to be getting the better of the standup. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A left and a right from Anderson both land. Nice combination. McFadden tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A looping hook to the body misses from Anderson. McFadden does a little dance to reset his feet. McFadden rushes Anderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. McFadden jumps guard but Anderson stands there with McFadden around his waist. McFadden gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Horrible takedown by McFadden or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson which made him look bad. McFadden closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Anderson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

No luck for McFadden with that takedown attempt. McFadden takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. McFadden scores with a slapping inside leg kick. McFadden fails with the takedown and Anderson counters with a right hand to the body. McFadden lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A nice combination there by Anderson.
McFadden lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. McFadden fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Anderson connects with a good right hand that stumbles McFadden. McFadden circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Allan Anderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Anderson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Briar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones moves out of range as Briar strikes. Briar is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Briar moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Briar tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Briar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Briar doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
