The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Toivonen goes for a double leg but Hudson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hudson continues to drive forward.
It looked like Hudson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Toivonen.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Booningham is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McTavern.

McTavern goes for a double leg but Booningham avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Booningham continues to drive forward.
Booningham takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The crowd cheers as McTavern lands an impressive looking overhand right. Booningham doesn't seem phased though.

McTavern lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
McTavern tries to close the distance and clinch but Booningham swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Harper's coach down at Pablo's Boxing Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Harper's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

and Garuda counters with a good, hard body kick but Harper shrugs it off.

Garuda lands a nice hook to Harper's body. Harper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Garuda scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Harper takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Garuda thows a body kick. Harper tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Garuda punishes Harper's body with a nice straight punch.
Garuda scores with a sloppy right hand. Harper should have avoided that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Garuda closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Harper! Garuda dives in looking to finish! Harper is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
